Having Fun on a Day Off

Stryders POV

Captain Kirk, Scotty, Sulu, Chekov, Uhruha, Spock, Bones, and I are having the day off from hard working on the Young Lady the USS Enterprise. The Captain was taking us somewhere but we didn't know until we got there. He only said to wear something comfortable.

When I walked out, I saw Uhruha waiting outside my dorm, wearing a crop top and shorts with sandals.

"Lets go girl! We're going to have fun!" She grabbed my wrist lightly, leading me to the Teleporting Room.

The rest of the group was there waiting for Ubruha and I. When we walked through the sliding doors, Bones and Spock were arguing about some medical procedure, Kirk was rechecking all the bags to make sure he had everything they needed before we left the Enterprise, Chekov, Sulu, and Scotty had their backs to us. Everyone seemed to be in sleeveless shirts and swimming trunks on while Spock was wearing his uniform. Uhruha and I looked at each other and rolled our eyes, not being impressed by the men and a Vulcan.

Sulu turned around and looked at me and spoke, "Stryder, what are you wearing?!"

"What?! You never seen an elf wearing a bikini?! Sheesh you men are cruel!" I pouted, with Uhruha patting my back. Bones and Spock stopped their conversation to look at me. Bones being amused while Spock had his confused look on his face.

Kirk shouted, "Okay! Time to go guys!"

~At the Planet~

"Wow!!!" I said while spinning around, looking at the beautiful view of the ocean and the white sand.

Chekov looked over at Bones, "I guess she never saw vthe beach before . . ."

Bones nodded his head, "Agreed."

Uhruha was helping out Kirk who was laying down a large towel while Spock was getting out the food carefully. Scotty were setting up the volleyball net.

I looked at the ocean then I started to run towards the water. Bones ran after me, grabbing my arm and pulling me back before I put my foot in the water. I gave Bones a confused look, wandering why I could not go in the water.

"Stryder there might be jellyfish in the water! Its really dangerous! You will get stung and I do NOT want to work on my day off taking care of children!"

"I-I am not a child~" I said getting offended.

"Actually you are Stryder!" Kirk shouted from sitting down on the towel. "So are Chekov and Sulu."

Chekov was looking at a crab that was walking by, chasing after it while Sulu was looking for shells in the sand, having no comment. Spock sat down on the towel as well picking up a plate getting some salad and a fork and started eating, watching the "Kids".

Bones said to me, "Let me make sure there is not any jellyfish." He started to walk in but before he could even get in, Scotty ran into the water after putting up the volleyball net, jumping in.

"Come in Stryder! The water is great Lassie!"

I ran in, going past Bones; he smiled then ran in after me both of us jumping into the water.

Uhruha laughed in the distance, "And your not calling Scotty and Bones children?"

Kirk shrugged.

Sulu's POV

I looked up from collecting shells, seeing Spock just sat there still eating his salad. Chekov was still chasing after the crab then it went somewhere. "Awe . . ." He started to walk back to me, seeing eyes looking down at the sand. "Collecting shells?" He spoke.

I rose his head from the sand from digging a hole in the sand, "Yup! Want to help?"

Chekov looked down at the sand then looked back at me. "Okay." He got down in his knees and started to help.

Kirk's POV

This was a great idea after all. Uhruha is relaxing, Chekov and Sulu are helping each other out again, like the usual; out in the distance, I could see Scotty and Bones splashing Stryder with the ocean. I heard her yell, "Scotty!! Bones!! No!!!!" She started to swim away from them. I looked over at Spock who was looking out into the ocean.

"I never got the idea of relaxing, its just-" Spock got cutted off.

I got up, grabbed Spock's wrist and took him to the water, pushing him in. I watched him fall then he didn't get up. "Spock?" . . . No response. "Spock?!" I was about to jump in when I felt a hand, pulling me down in the water. We both rose up and I saw Spock smiling. ACTUALLY SMILING! I looked at him with a weird look on my face, not knowing what to say.

Uhruha was just laughing, taking out her camera and started to take photos of everyone having fun.

Chekov's POV

I was helping Sulu digging for shells after I chased after a crab. When I heard a big splash, I looked over to the ocean, seeing Spock and Kirk having fun in the water. Wait Spock?! I poked Sulu on the arm. He picked up a shell and looked at me, "What is it Chekov?" I pointed to the ocean. I couldn't believe what I was seeing.

"Is Mr. Spock smiling?~" I shouted, being in complete shock. We both looked at each other. Sulu just shrugged his shoulders, "Should we tell Bones?"

I turned my head towards the left, seeing Bones, Scotty, and Stryder splashing in the water. I saw Bones stop and got up from falling, looking over towards Kirk and Spock.

Bones' POV

When I looked over to my left, I saw Spock and Kirk having fun, I stepped closer to them, seeing Spock smiling. A grin went across my face before Scotty pushed me down, trying to see what was going on.

"What's happening Lad?" Scotty shouted being all muffled from being under water. I rose up from the water now hitting the side of my head, trying to get the water out of my ears, walking out of the water to Uhruha.

Scotty's POV

I saw Spock smiling then Kirk was laughing his head off, having fun. Styrder ran over to me, "H-he never smiles!!" I looked down at her, seeing her light purple blushing face. I laughed and patted her on the back, "Its not that bad Lassie! I know you have an eye on him~" I smirked.

She shook her head in denial. "N-no I do n-" She got cutted off as I patted her on head. "You'll be fine. Go get him tiger." I got out of the water leaving a blushing elf behind.

Uhruha's POV

When everyone came back to have lunch, I started to show them the pictures I took, Chekov chasing after a crab, Sulu collecting shells, Bones and Scotty splashing Stryder, Kirk pushing Spock in the water, Spock smiling, and many other pictures of the scenery.

The rest of the day was fun, all of us had lunch together, played volleyball, let a few jokes pass around, it was a bliss. Sadly, at the end of the day, we had to go back to the Enterprise.
