Eponine was a lonley girl who lived with her two no good stealing parents. Of course there was little Gavroche but he was never around the house for he thought he ran the town.
Her father was a hopless drunk who used to run an Inn before he screwed up and upset an officer called Javert. They were evicted immediately. Now they live in a little shack not to far away from the ABC cafe that all the rebels met to discuss their "Revolution" which couldnt come soon enough. Everyone was suffering, the wealthy were too wealthy and the poor were sick and dying upon the streets. At this time Eponine was 13 years old. Today was the day she met Marius. He was 14. He was waiting outside the ABC cafe waiting for his father to finish up with a meeting inside. Eponine was walking down the street humming. For even though her life was cold and dark she tried to look for some happiness. Eponine suddenly tripped over Marius' bag which was lying infront of him. He sprung up apologizing immediately.

"Im so sorry madame"

She was on the ground and put out his hand to help her up.

"Oh gosh, you are hurt!"

He reached into his bag and grabbed a small bandage for Eponines slightly scraped knee.

"Its nothing dont worry monsieur. Really its noth-"

She said as she met his sparkly green eyes. Marius sat her down gently next to where he was sitting just a minute ago. He grabbed her knee and delicatley wrapped her wound. "Im Eponine" she said shyly. "Pleasure to meet you, madame Eponine. What a lovley name. Im Marius." She blushed a little. Someone who seemed so rich and well clothed actually complimenting someone as dirty and poor as her.

"What would someone as wealthy as you be sitting out here on the street?"

"What makes you think i am wealthy"

He replied. Eponine looked up at him and glanced at his golden ring that lyed upon his pinky. He realized where she was looking.

"Oh that... My grandfather gave that to me. Before he left me and my family when he realized my father was apart of the Revolution. Which is why i am sitting out here i am waiting for my father who is inside at a meeting"

"EPONINE" Screamed Mr. Thenadier from down the street.

"I have to go" Eponine said in a hurry.

"See you some other time rich boy!"
