I got the impression of something cold and sticky surrounding my body, and tried to wipe my burning eyes but instead I felt my hands locked into what sounded like chains. I squinted, while shocks of blurry pain entered my eyes. I looked at my scratched knees and saw a black substance run down my body. I screamed as I felt it sear through multiple areas in my body and I gasped trying to get my breathing in control.
"Wake the fuck up!" I heard someone spit.
I heard a loud click and in an instant I was being washed down with what I hoped, was cold water. I gasped as the pain washed away and I stared down my kneeling, naked body. I waited for the cold water to stop but it never did. Instead two men walked into the plain room, one with a bucket and one with two stools. One placed a stool down and sat on it, while the other put the bucket filled with water on the second stool and left.
"So, are you going to answer us?" The man said with a thick accent.
"What?" I asked confused about everything.
He gripped the back of my neck and dunked my head into the bucket of water suddenly, making me lose all of my breath and inhaling the water, as I thrashed around.
I heard vague and muffled screams somewhere inside my head, but the pain flooding my chest was too much to hold onto any, relevant or irrelevant, thought. For a second I felt like I was floating and I didn't feel anything as the darkness surrounded me.

I felt a sudden pain interrupt my blank and dark thoughts, making me start to move.
I'm not dead.
Just as that thought hit me, the pain increased to a point where it felt like a knife trying to pierce through my skin. I whipped my neck back, screamed and found myself in the same position I was in before the men came in: on my knees, bare, and chained.
I began to cough up water that had earlier invaded my lungs as I opened my eyes and saw dark shadows running up and down my body. While I screamed the man outside, of what I recognized as a cell, laughed. I gasped and groaned, saliva falling from my mouth and the chains shaking violently against the moonlight.
As much as I wanted to pass out, I didn't. Instead I knelt through the strongest most excruciating pain I thought I would ever feel in my life. But then again.....what life did I have?
Who am I? Why am I in so much pain? Why are they laughing at me? Why the fuck am I chained?
My body limped as the thoughts formed in my head and the pain stopped. I kept my eyes closed as sweat coaxed the sides of my forehead and trailed down my neck.
"Ya, she's done." Someone said, grabbing keys and walking into my cell.
I didn't have any strength to fight or talk so I let him sling me over his shoulder and walk me into another dark room where I fell into another deep sleep.

I picked up my neck, practically boneless from the sore pains in my arms and legs. I looked around in the dark and realized that it was a complete concrete cell.
"Shit." I groaned, trying to keep my breathing shallow, since it hurt my lungs.
"Eh! She's up!" A man outside the room yelled.
From there I was dragged into another room and I mentally cursed myself for opening my goddamn mouth.
Once I was sat down into a brighter room, I squinted and groaned loud as they harshly strapped my arms behind the chair.
"Talk." One of the two men in the room asked.
"What happened? Am I dead?" I blurted, feeling strange about the way my voice sounded. One of them chuckled and lighted a cigarette as I stared down, confused at how I ended up in cheap, loose clothing.
"Nice try bitch. We ain't gonna fall for that 'I don't remember anything' act."
"I'm not acting." I said firmly, yet half moaned, still in pain.
One of them scowled while the other blew smoke in my face and started to speak in something like portuguese, although I didn't remember how I knew that.
"Lie to us." One of them said.
"What?" I asked confused.
"Just do it."
"Why?"
In a flash someone threw a rope around my throat and pulled back."Do it." The other one demanded.
I nodded and coughed on the air, leaning forward. I heard a snap and this time I was yanked up straight from a hand gripping the front of my neck.
"What color are your eyes?" One of them asked.
"Brown?" I guessed.
As soon as I said that a bolt of pain shot up from my ankles to my neck and made me literally jump out my seat as it felt like two lasers ripping through my skins.
I screamed loud and spazzed as the pain faded, gasping and feeling my neck muscles tense incredibly.
"They're green." They said.
As soon as they told me a wave of cold air hit me and I shivered, my limbs suddenly weak.
"What....the....fuck....did you....do to me?" I panted, unable to control my spit.
One sat, letting his cigarette fall. While this happened I realized the man that was holding my neck had let go and was now twitching next to me on the floor.
"Tell the boss it works." He said, violently shoving the other.
"But what about-"
"GET THE BOSS!" He screamed.
He pulled my chair close until he was about three inches away from my face.
"You, my sweet and confused little flower are going to make us rich." He whispered near my ear.
I gasped, trying to control my breath so I wouldn't lead him on.
"Fuck you." I spat.
His hand touched my knee and I clenched my jaw, realizing that the ropes were hot and I could move my hands. Without really thinking, my fist flew and uppercutted him in the jaw. When he fell I immediately went to work on hitting right in his neck area and in a couple of minutes he slumped out cold. I ran out, immediately finding the exit and hijacking a car.
I slammed my foot on the brake, and pulled onto the empty and abandoned road, looking back at the men screaming and shooting at the jeep. I kept my foot still on the pedal until I started seeing signs and few cars.
I suddenly started laughing for some reason, feeling light and happy that I was away but the smile faded and turned into a confused look as I tried to piece together what happened.
So, I know how to fight now? Or, was that a quick reaction?
Although I tried, I kept asking the same questions:
Where was I? Who am I? Why the fuck didn't I get any fucking answers?
I glanced down at my legs and arms and saw that tattoos had been engraved into every inch of my skin, but the funny thing was.....I didn't remember having them when I first had woken up. I decided to pull over after it got dark and slept in the backseat, trying not to worry anymore.
