The Unexpected Answer (Niam Horayne) One Shot

" How dare he stand me up!" Thought Niall as he walked out of the restaurant. He had been waiting for 2 hours. He reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone and saw the message,

To: Leprechaun

From: Daddy Direction

" Sorry I wasn't able to make it, something came up xx"

Niall rolled his eyes and tucked his phone away, he knew he wouldn't come, he knew that he was stupid to think that he could tell him how he really felt, he knew all Liam cared about was her. Danielle. "The woman who took him away from me," He thought.

As Niall made his way home in the pouring rain, he began to cry. Ever since she came into the picture, he didn't see Liam as much now. Hell, he was lucky to even get a call or text.

Niall finally reached home and went upstairs, changed and laid down, he lay there thinking for a while until he finally fell into a deep sleep until he felt a pair of arms wrap around him.

Niall's eyes shot open as he felt a cold set of arms wrap around him. He sat straight up and looked over next to him.

" Whoa, Niall, its me Liam!" Niall reached over and turned the bedside lamp on,

"Holy shit Liam, don't ever scare me like that again!"

"Well, you shouldn't leave your door unlocked..", Liam stated as he got up from the bed.

"What are you doing here? I thought something had come up?" Niall asked angrily

"I know your upset but Danielle wanted to hang out and I couldn't say no!" Liam said

"Oh, wow.." Niall was now steaming, he wanted to just slap him in the face and just tell him how much he loved him, he just kept his mouth shut. He wanted an explanation and he wanted one fast.

"Do you know how long I waited for you at that damn restaurant? I waited TWO fucking hours Liam! Do you even care anymore? Do you think you can just stand me up and expect everything to be okay!?"

" No I don't, and that's what I came to do! To apologize and show you I'm truly sorry!", Liam yelled.

Niall couldn't believe it. He was so angry at Liam, he'd promised he'd be there but he never showed up. Niall turned away from him and walked down stairs to the fridge to take his mind off the current situation.

" Niall please talk to me, I really am sorry..", Liam begged

Niall turned to face him and when he did Liam was standing so close to him he almost head butted Liam.

"Oh wow, I'm sorry", Niall apologized as he looked into Liam's brown eyes, they stood there like that for a little while until Niall broke the silence, " I have something to tell you.."   

" And what would that be?" Liam asked

Niall started to panic a little bit. He started to break out in a sweat, he began to feel like he was about to be sick.

" Niall, whatever it is, you can tell me."

" But, I'm scared Li-Li", Niall stuttered

" Of what Nialler?"

"That you'll judge me, won't feel the same way..", Niall cried

" I would never judge you, now tell me what's got you all worked up!" Liam looked panicked
