Chapter 4

James's head was spinning. He felt on top of the world, deep down he knew that killing a room full of people was a bad thing to do but the voice in his head was telling him that it was all perfectly normal that it was all ok but it wasn't and James knew that... didn't he?

James decided that he better leave the area, someone was bound to have found out what he did one way or another, he ran back to his house with inhuman speed. A journey that used to take half an hour was done in under a minute, he smiled to himself as he walked in the door, he decided to pack light so he put a few pairs of jeans, some T-shirts and a Spare pair of trainers in a rucksack and he realised that he didn't need a coat because he didn't get cold.

James picked up his iPod,walked out the door and put his headphones in... He smiled as he realised his life was looking up for the first time in ages.

I'm not a vampire by falling in reverse started playing and James smiled to himself as he walked down his road. He thought that the best place to go was London, there where lots of things to do and lots of people and he wouldn't need to worry about where to stay, he was sure that his friends wouldn't mind for a few nights but if they did... Well he dicided not to think about what would happen if they said no. James thought about running to London, it was only 75 miles away but he knew that if people Saw him then he would have a lot of explaining to do.

He booked a coach ticket, he didn't know why... I guess he was thinking about trying to be normal, James could hear the little voice saying something but he ignored it and slowly walked to the bus terminal. This was going to be a long journey.

Half way through the journey he realised that he was starting to get hungry. Not good. He needed to keep busy so he plugged his iPod back in and started tapping his fingers to the beat. He tried everything to keep his mind off of his growing hunger, he could make out some of what the voice was saying now. Not good. Kill them!! it urged.

James was concentrating so hard on not slaughtering everyone that he didn't notice when a girl sat next to him until she said "hey, what's with the blood?" James hadn't noticed that he'd bitten into his lip and now had blood dripping from his mouth " oh err it's nothing, I had an accident" she frowned obviously trying to think of how an accident on a coach result in that much blood, so he quickly added " I err..fell asleep and hit my head on the window and bit my lip"

"Oh you poor thing!" She exclaimed as she put her hand on his knee " we'll need to sort all that blood out" with that she took his hand and lead him to the bathroom at the back of the bus.

She was tall, about 5,7, had green eyes, had long blonde hair and was dressed in black skinny jeans and a blue crop top.

The bathroom was about a metre and a half square, in it was a small toilet in the back corner, a sink on the opposite side and a toilet paper dispenser. With James and this mystery girl in it their was no room to move and they had to stand pressed against each other.

"Well" she smiled "this is cosy". James could feel her heart beat, he knew that this was a bad idea but he couldn't get out, she was blocking the door.

"I'm Kate by the way" she said as she got som toilet paper and began to gently dab the blood from his mouth. When she was done she leant in and kissed him " I know what you are James" she began to move her hand up his leg " what... You know I'm a..."

"Vampire.... Yes" she cut in " and I know what you did at that school, that was soo... Sexy" she purred as she leant in for another kiss. James moved his head back " are you a vampire too?" He asked .

Kate licked his cheek " I'm a vampire... HUNTER" as she said hunter she ripped a steak from her jeans pockets and tied stabbing him, fortunately he was able to intercept the steak before it was plunged in his heart.

James felt something snap in his head and started to say " n-no what have you..." Then the voice in his head took over and he knew that his eyes where drained of colour and that Kate only had seconds to live. James tried desperately to cling to the last bit of his conscience as it slowly disappeared. He couldn't do this not here not to all these people. He felt his inner demon trying to come out so he started to fight it, then Kate stupidly slapped him " LET GO OF ME" she screamed. That was all it took, James lowered his head, his shoulders shaking slightly. Kate knew she made a mistake as she realised he was laughing " I'm so sorry" she said " but if you kill me then more will come"

James looked up, his eyes now red black and silver " thank you for letting me out... And as for hunters, let them come" with that he bit into Kate's neck and ended her life. Then he realised that he couldn't go back out their so he punched through the bus wall and ran. He didn't know where he was or what do do. He just ran.
