I watched her walk my way, a beautiful smile spread across her face. Her long curly auburn hair put up in a perfect bun. Karma and I have known each other for 6 years. She's a year older than me. She's 17 and I'm 16. She knows everything about me. We met at church, both our parents are pretty religious and force us to go. Our friendship isn't typical, we spend Saturdays and Sundays sitting together at church, usually holding hands or with her arm around my shoulder.

She stops and smiles at people till she gets to where I'm sitting, and plops herself into the chair next to me, as if the walk from the door to me was exhausting. I laugh at her lazyness and say our hello's and talk about how the week has went for us, our usual routine.

"I missed you, I feel like I haven't talked to you in forever." She says as if we didn't just see eachother yesterday after school caressing my arm, but i know what she really means.

"I saw you yesterday" I laugh, trying to play off the sadness i really feel.

"Amy, you know what I mean" she says uncomfortably, because she's not usually verbal about her feelings.

"I know" I say looking down at my hands, trying to be calm and keep my composure, "but you've been busy with work, and I've been studying for finals" I make an excuse.

"What are you doing tomorrow?" She asks, a sudden excitement in her eyes.

"Nothing" I say, and then realize what she's getting at, "you should sleep over"

She leans her head onto my shoulder and with a content sigh says she will.
