Running, as fast as I can go. I feel like I'm floating through the forest, not a thought in my mind and everything blurring past me. Why would he not let me go? I understand that she had secrets and left for my safety, but I want this. I need to find her, I need to know what happened to her and why she left me. I need to know what's happening to me and why Father never told me. I need answers, not for others, but for myself. This is my journey, and it starts now, no one will stop me until I get what I need.
The crunching of leaves were rapid beneath my pale, bare feet. The hem of my dress was dragging the ground getting slightly ripped as my dark brown hair was slipping out of its up-do and into my face, sticking to my sweaty forehead. Footsteps clomped against the mud and leaves behind me. There was no stopping now, if I tripped I wouldn't be able to escape the guards and my Father chasing after me with great anger and disappointment. But, I knew I had to hide somewhere for a chance to escape and make it out of my dearest town, Frableman .
The footsteps got louder and so did the deep voices, so I quickly slid under the roots of a tree to be unseen. I didn't move and I steadied my breathing so they couldn't hear me as they started to pass. My Father's harsh voice echoed throughout the quiet, peaceful forest with great contridiction and force,"We have to find her, she cannot find her Mother. All there will be is sorrow and great lies, even if we don't find her now, we will have to find her soon."
Why would Father do this? I thought he would want me to find Mother, I know he's scared for me.. but he knows something I don't. Oh dearest Father, what are you hiding fro---
Unable to finish my thoughts, someone grabbed me from behind and covered my mouth. I tried to kick and scream but the large, rough hands kept a tight hold on my tiny body and there was no escaping.
