"CARSON JAMES!" I shouted, as I felt icy cold water being poured down my face.
"You looked like you needed to cool off" my twin brother said, snickering. I shot him a glare and pushed myself out of bed.
"Why the hell did you wake me up and 7:00 in the morning?" I demanded, crossing my arms across my chest.
"I was bored" Carson defended. "The rest of the guys left about an hour ago."
"So you thought it would be a great idea to dump a bucket of cold water on me?" I questioned sarcastically.
"Yeah" he said laughing, "You should have seen your face. It was fucking hilarious." I flicked my sopping wet hair at him and stormed into the bathroom, slamming the door in his face. Having a twin brother had its perks, but sometimes he was the most infuriating person on the planet.
"I actually wanted to tell you something!" he called through the door. I rolled my eyes and ignored him.
"Mom and Dad are coming over today in about an hour" he said. I froze. Then I flung open the door. That was never a good thing. It usually meant I was in trouble, or they were coming to check up on my "issues".
"Tell them to go away" I muttered childishly. "I don't want to see them." Carson laughed at my reaction but quickly sobered up when I smacked his head.
"Just behave today, okay? They apparently have some big announcement to make. Then they're going to leave for some big business meeting."
"Right. They haven't seen their children in three months and all they can spare is one evening of their time."
"Just behave okay?" Carson said tiredly. I nodded at him and proceeded on to drying my hair.
"You poop" I muttered. "This isn't going to be dry in time for when they come over." Carson gave me a cheeky grin and ran out of the room. He was such an idiot sometimes. I gave up on my hair and changed into some decent clothes and makeup in an effort to look decent in front of my parents. This was certainly going to be a long day.

The doorbell rang throughout the house. Looks like my parents had finally arrived. Carson ran to the door and flung it open. On the other side stood my mom and dad. Behind them were a lady and boy I didn't recognize. The lady looked stern and businesslike. In other words, her expression was the exact same as my mom's.
The there was the boy. There was no denying it. He was hot. He had messy black-brown hair with a few locks falling over his forehead. He had bright emerald green eyes. He was about Carson's height and it obvious he had a good amount of abs hiding beneath that shirt. He was wear a white v-neck shirt and dark-wash jeans.
On his shoulders was a young girl who looked around four years old. She was the most adorable thing I had ever seen. Her long curly dark hair tumbled over her shoulders and her green eyes were bright with excitement.
Mom turned to the woman behind her.
"Serena, why don't you and the children get acquainted with the house. We'll meet you in the living room in a few minutes." The boy scowled when she called him a child, but he didn't protest. Then as if he could feel my gaze on him, he glanced over at me and caught my stare. I blushed furiously as he smirked at me. I could already tell that he was annoying.
When they left, my parents turned to Carson and I.
"The two children will be living in the second house out back" my mom stated calmly. I stared at her. She couldn't be serious. Living with one boy was hard enough, but two? She couldn't just drop news like that on us and just walk away. It's not like they were ever home.
