Whoosh whoosh went the wind,
Leaves scattered in the autumn breeze.
I saw the trees, wave and dance,
I turned around to see my friend.
For winter was around the corner,
My friend you see, is like a goner.
He's time has come but will return,
In 12 moons time, oh how I yearn.
My love is great, my love is fair,
His presence lingers in the air.
Autumn, autumn nature chants,
Like bees, buzzing in the air.
In the end, I turned around,
To see Mother Nature's gown.
Her breath was like a minty rose,
Oh, how her kingdom glows and glows.
INSPIRATION
What inspired me to write this poem was my love for nature, especially Autumn. Autumn is the time of the year when I think Nature is most beautiful. It's the time where trees are plagued with red and brown and where everyday is a breeze. It's the time where everything starts to simmer down after the rush of summer. In the poem, I wrote how it was almost winter, meaning that I have to wait a year for Autumn to come again. I depicted Nature as a motherly figure.
