Chapter 1

Yet another day of hell.

I put my hand over my eyes, & exhale knowing that all I have to go through another day being me.

I yank the duvet off my body & before I can even stand up Kate barges through the door & flings open my wardrobe, going through the clothes I had his from dad. Satisfied with my favourite red sweater, she skips out of the room, lacking the manners to even acknowledge me. Well good morning to you too. I rush to get ready for school, I'm not late or anything I just want to go see him. You see we share a secret, even though he's known to be the schools ' bad boy ' he doesn't live up to its stereotype. He's smart & doesn't intend on changing that, in the mornings we would hang about in the library just talking & studying. I already had feelings for him before, so when I found out about this side of him I got more hope knowing that he was just like me, that he had to hid himself from others. Although we would hang out in the morning the rest of the day we would not acknowledge each other. Why ? Because if that happens his reputation will come crashing down, & my dad will kill me for even being near him.

" I'm leaving !!! " I announced at the front door before closing it. I didn't want to see the look of disgust on dads face before I leave, I try to avoid seeing it every morning. I cross the road & look back at the house taking in every detail, until I see a figure staring at me through my bedroom window. I squint, trying to see who it is invading my privacy. I thought that it was Kate going back in my room for more clothes, but the silhouette had broad shoulders & short hair.

Josh.

What's he doing in my room ? & whys he staring at me through the window ?

I walk away from our house, still feeling his stares at the back of my neck. Erggh he's such a creep. I walk to school, to the beat of my music as I get closer i feel like someone is watching me again I stop & look around & see nothing but a few cars. Whatever its probably nothing. Just at that moment a white range rover screeches to a stop besides me, it's window scroll down revealing his face.

" Hey Flo "

" Hi Jake "

Jacob Perez, my crush smiled at me gesturing for me to get in the car. He's nice to me when we're alone but if anyone else is near he lives up to his reputation & ignores me. We enter school & head to the library as usual.

" And after she fell down the stairs, she started crawling " We burst into laughter, laughing at Kate's lack of common sense. He wiped away a tear as the last of his chuckles escaped him. He's perfect in every way, the curls of his Afro, the depth of his brown eyes & that gorgeous smile of his. The bell rings interrupting me from my thoughts. He put his shades back on & said bye before he left making sure no one saw him. I packed up my belongings & exited the library, making my way to my first period. I sat in the front & waited for the teacher to arrive & settle down the class. The door opened & the teacher came in.

" Now now everyone get back in your seats, I got an announcement to make"

Everyone sat down curious about what she was about to say.

" Today we have a new student " she made a gesture to someone at the door. A boy came in, he had thick glasses on & he was dressed up exactly like me, but male version. I could hear everyone's sighs of disappointment. He kept his eyes glued to the floor not once looking up to examine the class.

" This is Daniel he just moved here, so I hope you will all welcome him " Daniel sits beside me ignoring the murmurs & comments from everyone. I introduce myself.
