Be Yourself

Before you read this I just want to say thank you for giving it a chance!

It means a lot to a new writer such as myself.

Most of us struggle to be ourselves.

Afraid of what others will think of us.

So we try to be cool, and we try to be popular.

But why not try to be yourself.

Not the fake you everybody thinks they know.

The real you nobody bothers to get to know.

Don't be ashamed or embarrassed of the true you.

Embrace it with a hug.

Love it with a heart.

And need I remind you, don't be afraid to be yourself.

Even the not-so pretty part.

It doesn't matter what others say about you.

The only person who can push you down is yourself.

All those hurtful words don't mean a thing.

The only true bully toward all of us is the one inside discouraging us from being ourselves.

Discouraging YOU from being yourself.

Be Yourself.
