Just Me and the Guys

High school is the time of your life. Yea. Not really. It sucks. It's hard, and it kinda makes you want to curl up in a ball and die. Not even kidding.

My names Amber Baker. I will be in 11 grade when school starts this fall again. Ugh. I hate it already. The only reason I ever go is to see my best friends, Luke, Michael, Calum, and Ashton. If they weren't there I would've dropped out a long time ago.

People think it's weird I have 4 guy best friends and not any close friends that are girls. I mean guys probably don't care, but when it comes to girls, well, just assume the worst.

It's not my fault I chose guys as friends. I don't act like a guy, I'm actually kind of a huge girly girl. Always doing my hair, wearing dresses and skirts. You know, normal preppy girl stuff. I'm just not the type with social media and "oh my god captain of the football team hehehe" Yea no. I don't even like dating or obsessing over guys.

I'm not going to get into detail over it all but dating and obsessing with guys takes your life over. Completely. And it's a waste of time and you end up heartbroken. Period.

Anyways school starts in two months and none of us are ready. Our lives are too busy. Well the guys lives are busy. They started a band last year. It's kind of funny how they started. Michaels Xbox broke so they didn't have anything to do so they made a band. It was kind of a joke in the beginning(don't tell them I said that, they thought it was serious) . They did covers and wrote songs and put them online. Ashton was drums, Luke guitar, Calum bass, and Michael guitar. They all kind of sang but Luke is pretty much the main singer.

They started getting known in our small town in Minnesota. What started with uploads turned into gigs at the local bars. With the help of a fake id of course. I had to come with then. Who could pass up a bar with your best friends and fake Ids? I was the only one who ever drink though. Sometimes Michael would join.

So, almost every weekend the past four months was spent sneaking out to shows and obviously the parties. But since they didn't drink Luke and Calum took turns staying and pretty much babysitting me. Well and Michael if he decided to drink because he loves to party when you get drinks in him. Hell, me and him are the party! That's probably why we aren't trusted and need to be babysat at 17 years old still.

Well that's me and the guys, Luke, Ashton, Calum, and Michael. We don't do much else except cause trouble, eat pizza and play video games.
