Undercover nerd

The first day

It was a Friday night, I was in bed reading a book when my phone suddenly rang. I looked at the caller ID and saw it was the big boss from SASS(South African Spy Service). I answered the phone and got a big mission. I am starting the mission on Monday, and I have to get everything ready this weekend.

Monday morning

So I'm the new girl in the school and my name is Kate Parker. I am a tall brunette with blue green eyes. I wear big nerdy glasses and my hair is always in a ponytail, and I never wear makeup.

I am now standing in the office waiting for my class schedule and a locker number so that I can go to class. When the bell rang for the first period I got my schedule and went to my first class for the day, math. When I got to the class the teacher introduced me to the class and everyone made me feel welcome, except this one guy who I sat next to. I saw on one of his books that his name is Shawn Anderson. He is so cute and he made me loose my concentration in class, I also did not hear a word the teacher said the whole period.

When the bell rang for lunch I was relieved because I was already starving at the end of second period. I went to my locker to get the books for my next three periods when a guy came up behind me and when he started to talk he gave me a fright. I turned around and asked him who he was.

"My name is Alex River and you must be Kate." he said shaking my hand. "How did you know my name? " I asked. He then said that he is the guy being bullied and that his parents told him about me and that he must sit with me at lunch.

We went to the cafeteria together and I followed him to his table which was at the back corner of the cafeteria. We were sitting there for a while when a group of guys came walking towards us. I was a bit nervous but did not show it. When they were at our table the one guy started saying bad things to Alex and insulted him. It was there when I stood up in front of them when the one guy said " hey that is the new girl in my math class so I guessed right she is a nerd, oh and by the way my name is Shawn Anderson, but you can call me Mister Anderson" he said and started laughing. I walked straight to him and said "in your wildest dreams will I call you Mister Anderson you jerk, and leave Alex alone he did not do anything to you." He did not say anything back he just turned around and walked out of the cafeteria laughing so loud the whole cafeteria looked at him.

We sat again and suddenly Alex asked me "what the hell was that about I can fight my own battles?"
