I woke up sometime later. I felt like I was laying on something cold and hard but something next to me was nice and warm. I cuddled up next to the warm thing. I was a little confused, why was I feeling temperature changes?

“Awww. They’re just too cute.” I hear a voice say.

“Yup.” Another person agrees. “I’m thinking Dadrianna forever.” I think about that for a moment. The warm object was Damon! The voices were the girls, Maya and Leda to be exact.

They didn’t say anything for a while so I assumed they had left the bathroom. Oh so that’s where I was the bathroom, now I remember. I wasn’t feeling good, but why?

Then it hit me, the only time an Immortal gets sick is when they get a gift.

“They do everything together.” I hear Skylar say.

“Yeah, they’re getting their Gifts at the exact same time, how messed up is that?” Tiffany exclaims.

“I wonder when they’ll wake up.” Maya wonders aloud.

“They should be waking up soon; they’ve been out for a good twenty-four hours.” Leda tells her.

Twenty-four hours! What the hell?! Normal Gifts take between three and twelve hours to kick in, not twenty four! I don’t even know if there has ever been an Immortal that’s been; a) knocked out because of their Gift or has b) been unconscious for twenty-four hours!

“It looks like they’re waking up.” Maya notes. No point pretending now.

I open my eyes and blink a few times. I feel Damon start to stir. That’s when I remember the position I’m in, I’m curled up against him with my head resting on his shoulder, one hand on his chest, and one of my legs stretched out across his calves-AWKWARD!-and to top it all off he had his arm around me.

I went to sit up, when his arm tightened around me. No problem really, I just break his grip, sit up and stretch.

“You’re finally awake.” Tiffany points out.

“Umm… yeah, I guess so.” I say back, I really didn’t know what to say.

            “What’s your Gift?” Skylar asks.

“I don’t know.” I tell her and I yawn again, “I’m tired, I just want to go to sleep.”

“How can you be tired you’ve been asleep for twenty-four hours?” Skylar demands.

“No, I’ve been unconscious for twenty-four hours, so yes I can be tired.” I tell her grumpily.

“Damon what about you?” Leda asks. I now just realized he was sitting up beside me.

“What?” He asks in a tired, confused voice.

“Do you know what your Gift is?” Maya clarifies Leda’s intended question.

“No.” He tells her. “I’m tired.”

“Fine go back to sleep.” Skylar tells us in a annoyed voice and they all left their spots at the bathroom door.

Once they had left I say, “Let’s go up to my room.” Damon shakes his head.

“My house.” He says in response.
