A/N: Pic of Kelly on the side

Chapter 4 *Edited*

(Lizzie's P.O.V.)

You would really think a lot would happen within a week. Well you're wrong. The only big thing that happened was me getting in school suspension for three days and Ricky driving his new Camaro to school. Other than that this school is pretty boring.

Now don't get me wrong I love hanging out with my new friends but when you spend half the week in school jail you don't see any fun. But it really doesn't matter because as soon as the school bell rings at 3:10 I am free to go to the movies and find out what these people are really like.

I left a note for my father telling him I would be out after school with some friends before grabbing the keys to the truck and heading out the door. Once I pulled up to the school I searched the front for Kelly as usual. It wasn't hard to find her with her bright blonde hair straightened and blowing with the light breeze.

I made my way over to her while she kept her head down into her sketchbook. I envied how well she could draw off of sight and memory. The most I could do is trace something and it would still look like it just came out of the incinerator

I sat by her and studied her drawing. It looked like a person. A man.

"Who you drawing?" I asked her suddenly. She looked up at me a smirk on her lips. Ooh I know it has to be a crush.

I gasped excitedly. "Who is he? Do I know him? What grade is he in? How old is he? Does he even go here?" I questioned her like she had committed a crime and we were in the interrogation room. She chuckled and rolled her eyes.

"I am not telling you. I may have only known you for about a week, I know you will find him and talk to him."

"I would never!" I shouted in mock hurt. "I cannot believe you would think such a thing about me. I just... I thought we were friends." I let a sly tear roll down my cheek. Kelly's eyes widened in shock. "Oh my God, are you crying!?" I laughed while wiping the tear away.

"Yup learned how to do that as a kid when I really wanted something. Worked like a charm." I pulled out my water bottle taking a sip. Kelly sat still for a while in thought. Something doesn't feel right.

"Have you thought of joining the theater club?" She asked me in excitement. My eyes widened, theater? She must have lost her mind. "Oh don't give me that look. Come on you can cry on cue and that small little performance was actually believable. You should totally sign up."

I thought of it for a bit. Maybe I could try my acting skills out on the group. I immediately got an idea and smirked evilly. Kelly must have notice because next she asked me, "What do you have in mind?"

"Well how good are you at acting?" I asked her emphasizing 'you'. She looked up and thought for a second. "I'm pretty good I guess, why?"

"Well, how about trying to test out my skills. The scene is my dad dying, you are the comforting friend. You know since I can cry on cue." I smiled at my brilliant idea. She nodded with a smile on her face agreeing with me.

"Well if you're going to do this, do it now because here they come and they aren't paying attention." I looked up to see the group coming towards us in their own little conversations.

I immediately placed my face in my hands and waited for the tears to fall. I started to 'sob' as I felt Kelly's hand on my back and footsteps get louder. "Hey guys. What's wrong?" I heard Ricky start talking with concern.

"Lizzie is a little upset, her dad kind of.. um." Kelly started off until I sat up with tears falling down my face. I sniffed wiping my cheeks allowing more tears to fall to keep up the act.
