Prologue

Scarlet couldn't see a thing, she could hear loud shots from in the ship. Cinder had told Scarlet to stay inside the ship and stay safe, but Scarlet had to go and see how her fiance was, make shore he was still ok. All the sudden Scarlet could hear foot steps, her first reaction would be to hide, but she wanted some action so she jabbed her gun and ran to the main part of the ship. When she got there all she saw was a rock, it must've gotten kicked in somehow she thought. In what seemed like two seconds Cinder was standing in front of her, "we won", said Cinder with a big smile. Scarlet walked outside, the first thing she wanted to do was find Wolf, but Cress stopped her and started telling her what happended. " At first I started swinging at three gaurds with my iron rod and knocked 'em all out, then Thorne shot a whole row of gaurds with Jacin, while Kai and Cinder were looking for Levanna, They got her by the way, she is some sort of cage by the ship's cargo dock now, shes knocked out." Cress said talking a mile a minute. Scarlet lifted up her hand, "Ok Cress, can you tell me about it later?, wheres Wolf?" Scarlet asked. Cress shurgged, "He might be, behind the ship", Cress said pointing to the ships behind. When Scarlet turned the corner all she saw was wolf surronded by blood, her heart started to race. she ran as fast as she could, she couldn't see anything thourgh her tears. When she got to Wolf she saw a puddle of blood was on his stomach where he was shot before, Then he opened his eyes and grabbed scarlets hand. Her tears started to stop as he looked at her, "please don't die Wolf, please" she said, "I love you, and i can't raise this baby on my own". He looked at her and said what would be his last words. "Scarlet you can raise this baby without me, but don't let her grow up with out a father, if you fall in love again its ok." He took a deep breathe, "I love you...Scarlet...And...My little Star..." he said, struggling for air, as his eyes closed and his chest fell. Scarlet started sobbing so loudly the others came running, but stopped when they saw the blood and Wolf. Scarlet stayed there for ten minutes before leaving. She replayed his last words in her head, "I love you Scarlet and My little star". Words she would never foreget.
