My Life as a Dragneel

Chapter 1 Meet Nashi

Today is the day I finally turn sixteen, and I am so excited! Oh, but I suppose I should introduce myself first. I am Nashi Dragneel; and you probably all ready figured this out, but I'm the daughter of Lucy and Natsu Dragneel. I guess you could also say that I was an 'accident', since my dad is really shallow when it comes to that stuff. And although they didn't mean to bring me into this world, I'm glad they did, because there's no where I'd rather be.

Personally, I think I take after my mom the most, since I am a celestial wizard just like her. And I guess I take after dad a bit too, since we can have bad tempers at times, and go on rampages. It's just a good thing that my magic isn't super destructive like his.

I check the clock to see that it is almost 10 o'clock. I suppose it's about time to get ready for the day. I stretch one last time before finally getting out of bed.

After a nice hot bath, I dig in my dresser for my favourite pink and peach tank top and denim skirt. Once dressed, I sit in front of my mirror and begin to brush my long pink hair. A lot of people actually think I look just like my mom, except for the pink hair. However, I just don't see the resemblance.

I quickly finish making myself presentable, and then I join my mom and dad in the kitchen for some breakfast. I just loved it when my mom would cook a nice big breakfast, the smell of bacon and eggs in the morning was the best.

I sit down at the kitchen table, across from my dad, who is currently reading the Fiore weekly news paper while enjoying a hot cup of fire.
As I sit down he looks up and smiles at me, with his big Natsu grin. "Good morning munchkin." He says callously, still grinning in a very care free way.
My temper gets me all fired up, and I can't help but yell, "Dad!!! How many times do I have to tell you to stop calling me 'munchkin', seriously I'm not a kid any more!!"
Dad simply laughs at my rage, and turns his attention back to his paper.
My mom walks up to the table and sets a plate of bacon and eggs in front of me. She kisses me on the forehead and says, "good morning and happy birthday" before returning to the kitchen.

I quickly eat my breakfast, thank mom for the meal, and then head up to my room.
As I lay on my bed I remember what mom said to me last night, she told me that today we are going on a trip for my birthday. She said that we were going to go to a place called Fairy Tail... whatever that is. She didn't say anything either, just that its a surprise. I'm not really sure how long we will be gone but I better get ready.
I reach under my bed and grab the brown leather suit case with pink straps. I open it up and begin packing for our family trip.
