"Uiharu, intel!" Kuroko speaks through her earpiece to communicate with Uiharu in the office as she teleported through the city.
"25 metres ahead. It seems that they've stopped moving." Professionally handling the computer is Uiharu who monitors the movement of the targets through the surveillance cameras and GPS.
"He must be cornered. We need to..." Those are the last words of Kuroko Shirai before having a signal lost.
"Shirai-san! Shirai-san!" Uiharu frantically tried to search for Kuroko that disappeared from the GPS. Her eyes moved from one camera to the other while changing the link of the previous window to another camera, back and forth; repeating the process in order to find her colleague. Her computer skills are unbeatable. Even so, she can't win against reality; Kuroko is now gone.
==A Certain Abandoned Building==
"So.....you're the original."
"The original?" The questioned asked back to the questioner.
"I'm sure you've heard the rumors."
"Rumors?" A flash of her schoolmates talking about it went into her mind. "Well, I see Nagatenjouki got some weirdos, too." She approached the questioner who was wearing a dark blue and white uniform of the Nagatenjouki High School. "So, what is it? You know something about that rumo...."
She was hit on the head before being able to finish her sentence. She trembled to the ground as she tried to hold in her pain.
"You're in middle school. I'm in high school. Respect your elders. In brief: Speak Politely"
"Onee-sama..." Overseeing everything behind the scene was Kuroko Shirai as she whispered in response. She didn't know how she got here but since she saw Mikoto in the room, she went curious. Shouldn't she go and finish her mission beforehand? Well, she couldn't contact her friend Kazari and it's only logical it wasn't answered because it was in the middle of the night.
"Would you happen to know anything about the rumor?" Mikoto, who was hit for being impolite, suddenly changed her speech pattern into a more humble manner.
"More than you do. The purpose and the details have changed quite a bit since I left, however." She turned her head towards Mikoto. "Knowing will only hurt you.... You're not strong enough to do anything about it."
"I asked what you know about it." Mikoto stood up in anger. "Don't give me crap about not being able to do anything about it. Then, what the hell can you-"
Mikoto received a side kick for being impolite, again. Holding her pain, she rephrased her sentence. "What might you be able to do about it?"
"Sadly, not much. For example, scattering those cash cards."
The word 'cash card' is enough to bring Kuroko's attention. She sharpened her ears to listen to the story.
The girl continued.
"Eliminating Academy City's blind spot. By scattering those cash cards, I can guide people to small alleys outside the reach of security cameras. By doing so, I might prevent the experiments from happening. But, I must have been careless that someone could spot me and tail me so easily." Around the room, scattered men can be found lying down as they were beaten for tailing her and asked for cash cards.A small drawer which contains a document about Radio Noise Project in which she took it out. "If they got their hands on this, who knows what would've happened. I guess I can't leave any physical evidence behind." She walked away as she took out a lighter from her pocket.
She lit the document on fire while announcing to Mikoto, "I was using this place without permission, anyway."
"Wait!" Mikoto rushed forward to grab the girl's attention. As a result, it jerked the high schooler into dropping it into a pile of other documents.
