Chapter 9

"I'm sorry I broke the necklace. I didn't know." Leo apologized.

"No that's okay. Everyone makes mistakes. Besides you didn't know." Elena accepted his apology.

Then she went deep in thought.

"Hello? Anyone there?" Leo asked as he waved a hand in front of her face.

"Oh uh sorry about that." Elena blushed in embarrassment.

"Something wrong?" Leo asked concerned.

"Nothing.  You should really stay away from Karai.  She'll break your heart like April broke Donnie's." Elena informed.

"How will she do that? Donnie haven't confessed yet."

"How do you think would you feel when you're in Donnie's shoes? Donnie is head over heels for her and yet April has no idea.  Donnie tried to confess but what did April did? She always finds a way to shut him up.  She doesn't want to hear his confession. How'd I know that? I've been keeping an eye on Donnie and April  because that's what Mikey told me too.  He's smarter than what you think of him." Then she walked away.

"Wait." Leo said when Elena and him are 6 feet from each other.

Elena turned on her heels to face him.

"Tell me more." Leo said eagerly.

Elena smiled and walked towards him.  She grabbed his arm and ran towards the fire exit and up.  The sat at the edge of the rooftop and started chatting.

"Since you know everything that I don't... Can you tell me why Mikey acted to be stupid when he's smarter than Donnie? Why didn't he wanted to act like himself?" Leo asked.

"It's not like he wanted to.  He just had to.  Someone told him to act well it was likely compelled to act since he didn't remember.  If you know Mikey, you would know how smart he is."

"When was he compelled?"

"When he was 5."

"But he was the most stupidest turtle when he was a kid even before 5."

Elena glared at him.

"No offense."

Elena rolled her eyes.

"You don't know that.  You've been so focused in labeling and comparing your brothers, you forgot what really matters.  You feel like you're better than them.  You want to be better than them because Yoshi made you the leader just coz you're the oldest.  And not only that but Yoshi hid every single one of the proof that proves Mikey is nothing like what you thought."

"Why would sensei do that?"

"He knew he had to."

"How?"

"In his dreams.  His intuitions.  His meditations.  He saw."

"Saw what?"

"Mikey. Demon."

"What?"

"The visions will come to you don't worry.  It will be easier for you to understand. But it will all seem real. It will feel real and no matter what you see or hear you in those visions, you are not to tell anyone even Yoshi.  You have to figure it out all by yourself."

"How can I manage that? All by myself? That's so hard."

"Of course, Hamato Leonardo aka Fearless Leader and the best and the responsible among his brothers can manage it. No matter how hard his mission can be. Now do it!"

Then she jumped off the rooftop and disappeared.

"I still don't get it." Leo mumbled.

He just shrugged and went down the fire escape and into an alley.  He removed the cover of the manhole, (or something) and jumped in.  He went to the dojo and meditated, hoping what Elena said was true.
