Chapter 19

The rest of our plane ride was rather quiet, Kevin tried to ease the tension, but at the time I was still seething from my earlier encounter with that slut Grace.

The nerve of that bitch insinuating that I was some high price piece of ass Kevin was with to get his rocks off with while he was out of town on business. 

She really didn’t want to know the ugly side of me that I worked so hard to hide from myself and the rest of the world. Back in the day I was a mean ass bitch and I would have beaten the shit out of her before she could have finished running her mouth.  I had to pray hard to keep my composure, but in the end I did it.

We landed and Kevin kissed my lips and I opened my eyes and all I could see clear blue waters and white sand.  It was so beautiful.  I looked over to Kevin to see him sitting there with a cheesy grin on his face.  I had to laugh at him then I reached over hugged him and kissed him fully on the lips.

“So will you tell me now where we are?”

“Tell you where we are?  Didn’t you hear the captain make the announcement that we were landing at the Owen Robert International Airport in the Cayman Islands.”

“Why are we here?  I thought you said we were just going away for a weekend?”

“Well, at first we were, but after we got on the plane and we were having such as great time minus Grace I wanted us to spend more than just two days together.”

“Well sweetie why didn’t you tell me and I could have put in for a few days off.  Guess I could always call and let Annette know that I will be taking a few days off.  How long will we be here?”

“We can be here for as long as you want baby.  When I told you I had some things to take care of before I picked you up, I cleared my calendar and assigned cases to other attorney’s in my office so I have nothing pressing for about three weeks. So you tell me how long you want to stay.”

I couldn’t believe Kevin took the time to clean off his schedule to spend time with me. We haven’t been away together in years.  The last time we’ve been out of town together was about three years ago. I wanted to really spend time with Kevin and hope that what we have is worth working for and keeping. 

I know I wasn’t being fair wanting Shaun but not letting go of Kevin out of fear of starting over again.  I know I can’t tell him about Shaun yet and I really don’t think I want to tell Kevin about him just yet. I am so confused, it’s just so complicated.  I love Kevin, he’s a good man and I know he will do everything in his power to be a good husband to me, but I’m still not sure.

“Nik, how long do you wanna stay baby?”

“How about two weeks.”

“Ok baby, two weeks it is.”

“Don’t forget to call your boss, I wouldn’t want her to be upset with you about not calling in to get the time off.

“Oh baby I won’t forget I will call Annette shortly.”

“That’s my baby…come here girl give me a kiss.”

I scooted closer to him and let my lips touch his and I could feel my body soon start to heat up. I started to feel myself get that feeling in the pit of my stomach and I just wanted to get off of this plane and get to our hotel to begin these two weeks in the Cayman Islands in the arms of my hot and oh so sexy man.  This was going to be one hot vacation and boy was I gonna love it.
