November 2008

"Someday, when you're both in legal age, you will marry Lorraine. You're going to ask for my blessings. And, I will hand my princess to you in marriage without thinking twice." He toasted the wine glass towards my direction.

"Why, I don't know what to say Sir. I feel flattered and gratified."

We are having a tête-à-tête in their library and it makes me feel exhilarated. Who wouldn't be? The father of the lady I dear so much already gives me the blessing of marrying his precious daughter.

Lorraine, who is 19, is 5 years my junior, but that didn't stop me from courting her two years ago. I was captivated by her beauty and simplicity amidst the seeming elegance in her. I met her in a seminar for aspiring business ad graduates where I was one of the resource speakers and she happened to be one of the student-coordinators. I went to their school one afternoon and offered her a ride home. Then that was the start of my courtship. I wooed her and her family, most especially her Dad and Mom, for almost a year until she finally said yes.

Being with Lorraine these past years has been a roller coaster ride. I get exhausted a lot in ruling a multi-million company owned by my family, but all the mental tension goes away whenever we meet up and make the most out of our times together. We travel together and go to places, planned or unplanned. She accompanies me in all parties, be it family or business, formal or informal, where I need her company. Above all, she perfectly performs her duties as a girlfriend.

She has already met my family and I am glad that they are in favor of her. Actually, my mom welcomed her warmly and took her away from us the first time I brought Lorraine into our home.

She is a friend, bestfriend, partner, adviser, girlfriend, and soon-to-be-wife.

Lorraine. No one gets me the way she does. She is sweet, jolly and kind. But she is too stubborn most of the time. Well, I think those are the traits that made me fall in love with her deeper. And, to top it all, she's too rambunctious and full of surprises in our private moments together.

Oh! I can't get enough of her sexiness and attractiveness.

"Back to earth, Mr. Millionaire."

I never noticed how and when Lorraine entered the room. She hugged me from my back and went to kiss her father on the forehead.

"What's with the seriousness in the mood, Papa?"

"None that may upset my princess." She giggled before she invited us to dinner.

"Mama and I are done preparing dinner. Everybody is in the dining now. Let's go!"

"Go ahead. Take Dylan with you. I'll be there in a minute." The old Cruz commanded.

We headed for the door and we were on the hallway when Lorraine stopped and wrapped her arms on my neck. She pushed my back against the wall and drew her lips closer to mine and whispered "I can hardly wait for the weekend, Baby!", then, she bit my lips before she strolled to the dining room. She, Lorraine Cruz, will be the death of me – Dylan Lopez.
