Laxus gasped in complete shock. "W-what do you mean?" he stuttered.
Her golden eyes were not the sharp ones that rang with recognition. They were calm yet confused. "I don't know who you are. You said my name is Arvis?"
Laxus spun around. "Gramps!" Emotions filled him. Anger and concern fought inside him.
His grandfather walked in and he walked out unable to stay there another second.
Laxus stood outside the room staring at the closed door.
Makarov walked out after a while.
"Whats wrong with her? Why doesn't she remember me?"
Makarov kept walking, ignoring the questions of his grandson.
"Stop ignoring me old man. Tell me whats wrong with her!"
Makarov reached the room where most everyone in the guild was. He cleared his throat loudly. Everyone looked over to where he stood with a serious frown. "Listen up. Arvis has lost her memory."
Laxus looked at him shocked.
"What happened?" Natsu asked.
"It's a type of telepathic magic. It blocks memories."
Warren stepped forward. "I could try to reverse it. I was taught the beginning of that type of magic. Maybe i could reverse it."
"Thank you Warren but without mastery of the spell you may very well fry her brain. Its a very sensitive type of magic. Too much power and you'll do more damage."
"But" Warren began.
Laxus stepped forward fuming and yelled, "Stay away from her!"
Warren nodded backing down.
"It isn't permanent. The spell is broken by the persons will and magic. The more powerful the quicker the spell is broken. I have no doubt that Arvis won't break it soon. Within a week she should be back to normal. But until then I want everyone to be calm around her. She's quiet vulnerable at the moment." Makarov turned to Laxus. "This goes especially for you. You two have a history. You could trigger something. Arvis needs to break the spell on her own."
Laxus nodded.
He was about to respond when the loud thud of footsteps came barreling down the stairs.
Elfman and Macao jumped up with nosebleeds and red cheeks.
Arvis had come down stairs with nothing but a sheet wrapped around her.
"Makarov! Some pervert was stripping in my room!"
Laxus growled, going in front of her and hiding her from the males raking their eyes over her. "Stop looking at her or I'll rip your eyes out" he snarled.
Heads snapped away.
Gray came running down. "Arvis I was just trying to give you clothes to change into."
Laxus hit him on the head slamming him into the ground. "Idiot!"
Laxus put his coat over her shoulders and she looked at him with wide eyes. He stared in her eyes. "Let's go get you some clothes." She nodded and followed behind him. Laxus thought it was odd how just a day ago she would have chewed him out for demanding her around and now she was following him very willingly.
He took her to her room. He opened the door and let her in first. She looked around the room like it was a strange place.
"Where am I?" she asked, clutching the coat over her shoulders tighter. Laxus took noticed and wondered why.
