Visiting and Visitors

I woke up the morning after my birthday and the first thing I saw was the picture of George and I. My heart ached more for him and I sighed. I got out of bed and got dressed before going out into the kitchen. Draco was sitting at the table and I went to fix myself some coffee. “Where’s Chris?” I asked; figuring he was still in bed.

“Mum came and took him out for the day.” He said. “What are you going to do today?” He asked and looked at me.

            I shrugged. “I don’t know. Why?”

“No reason.” He stood and walked out of the room.

I rolled my eyes and took a drink of my coffee. I bit my lips and started thinking about George again. I had nothing to do. Maybe I could go see him. I took a deep breath and put my cup in the sink. I would. I would go see him.

I apparated and stood in front of the shop. It was busy already and I recognized Lee. I couldn’t see George though. I took a deep breath and kept biting my lip. Maybe I shouldn’t go in. Maybe he wouldn’t want to see me. Why would he? He ran off the last time he saw me. But he sent me that present. I took a deep breath once again and decided to go in. Lee grinned at me and I walked over to him. “Hey, Lee.”

“Hey, Claire. Been seeing you a lot lately.” He smiled. “Happy late birthday, by the way.”

“Thanks.” I smiled. “Is George around?”

“No. He went to see Charlie. They’re doing something up there before the wedding.” He explained and then got that Lee look on his face. “Are you trying to get back together with him?”

“No. Yes. I don’t know.” I told him and sighed. “I just want to talk to him. I miss him so much. Does he miss me?”

He nodded. “Yeah but he won’t admit it. More since he saw you here the other day.”

I looked down. “I shouldn’t have been away so long. I should’ve came sooner. But he deserves so much better than me.”

“Don’t say that. You two just need to talk. Do you want me to tell him to owl you when he gets back? You can come back then.”

I shook my head. “No. I don’t want to push anything. Thanks though, Lee.” I smiled and left the shop, disappointed.

This was a sign. It had to be. Missing each other like this was a sign that we weren’t meant to be. I pushed the thoughts away and apparated back home to my room. I sat on the bed and was going to lay down when I heard talking in the living room. I creased my eyebrows and wondered who on earth Draco had over. This was probably the reason he wanted me gone.

I walked out there and saw a dark haired woman I recognized as Astoria Greengrass and a five year old boy with blonde hair. The three of them were talking and a smile was on Draco’s face. My mouth dropped and I knew the boy was his son. The little boy spotted me and ran over with a grin on his face, sticking out his hand. “Hi! I’m Scorpius.”

I closed my mouth and smiled at him, shaking his hand gently. “Hi, Scorpius. I’m Claire.” I looked back up at Draco and his and Astoria’s eyes were wide.

“Claire, I thought you were gone.” Draco said and walked over to me.

“I came back.” I said a little sharply.

“Draco, we should go.” Astoria said and picked Scorpius up.

“Okay. I’ll see you two later for dinner right?” He asked and she nodded before leaving.

“How old is he?” I asked and he looked back at me.

            He sighed. “Five.”

“Five?! He’s five? Have you known the whole time?!”

            “Yes. Claire…”

“Don’t Claire me! He’s five! He’s the same age as Chris! And you’re obviously in love with her and him! Why keep me and Chris here?!”

“He was my first born. That means Chris gets everything when I die. I’m supposed to stick with the person who will inherit everything.”

“He’s not inheriting anything! I don’t want him to. You know I don’t want him to be like you. You know I don’t want him to have your life and yet…”

“He’s going to get it, Claire. He’ll become like me. It’s inevitable. He’s going to get in Slytherin, he’s going to realize what it takes to be a Slytherin, and he’s going to be like me.”

I slapped him. “He will not!”

Draco flared and grabbed my wrists and I tried to fight him off. “This is going to happen without you or not. I could easily kick you out and give you back to that dirt family you seem to love so bloody much and I can raise Chris the way he deserves to be raised with Astoria and Scorpius.”

“He deserves to be raised far away from you. You’re the dirt, not the Weasleys. I could easily take him away and never let you see them again.”

He pushed me away from him, causing me to hit the ground, and he stared at me. “I’d like to see you try.” He said before leaving himself.

So the fight happened! And I updated early. I might write and update as much as I can tonight since I'm weirdly wide awake but next update could be tomorrow or later this week since it seems my finals are looking pretty easy but could do them and get them out of the way by Sunday instead of doing them last minute but lets face it, I'll do it last minute.

Next chapter: Charlie and Selena's wedding!!!! Which means George and Claire will see each other. What do you think will happen?
