Harvest Moon ( A New Beginning) Our Story

Part 2

Sorry for the very long wait I am glad to publish the next chapter. It took lots of time to do this, mostly because I would start working on this but than stop and well after all this time it's finally finished. Enjoy~

It has now been a week since Neil has came to Echo Village, to sell his animal. Everyday I would go out of my way to see he and give him some milk from the cow he delivered to me. Sometimes he would be working when I gave him the milk and other times he wouldn't be, but when he was working he would always tell me if I wasn't going to buy an animal that I should just 'go away' but I couldn't help it at times I just wanted to be near Neil, I just feel drawn to him. A few nights ago I had a dream about Neil, in the dream Neil was helping with me with my farm work like it was a natural thing he did everyday. We would be watering the plants and than the next moment he had his arms around my waist and would kiss my cheek and than precede to go up to my ear and whisper, " You better watch out or you might get eaten later." Which insistently made me wake up with my face flushed red. 

Whenever I saw Neil after that dream I would go completely mute and loss all train of thought when i saw him and the only thing I could think to do was run as far away as possible from Neil. I just couldn't get the dream I had of him. As time went by I was starting to get low of feed for my cow so I knew I would have to get my courage together and go buy some from Neil plus I was meaning to buy a chicken because I just finished building my chicken coop and I really wanted to start getting some income from selling eggs. So after finishing my chores on my farm I went to town, I first stopped at the General Store and got some more Potato seeds. After doing that i decided it was about time I go and finally see Neil to get more feed and a chicken. I started going towards his stand and the closer I got to Neil the heavier my feet felt, I was only five feet away from him when my feet froze in place I couldn't move any closer I was to nervous too. While I was in deep thought thinking I should just forget everything and turn back I heard someone say my name, " hey Rachel... Rachel can you hear me or are you gonna run away again like all the other times. I don't know what your trying to pull here but it's really starting to get annoying that the moment you see me you run away like your trying to avoid me, which doesn't really bother me but if you were planning to buy something than just do it already." I slowly look up at Neil and whisper softly, " I need to get more feed and..." Neil looked at me, " wait what did you say speck up I can barely hear you." I couldn't even tell I was being so quiet but if Neil said I was than I better not waste anymore of his time and make sure I am specking clearly and loud enough for him to hear this time, " I said I need to purchase some more feed for my cow and I would like to buy a chicken."  hopefully I was loud enough this time for Neil to hear me I thought to myself. "Alright coming right up, also wouldn't it be smart to buy chicken feed for your chicken your don't want to forget to feed it or it will stave and get sick, you wouldn't want that would you", said Neil. Oh snap how could I forget something so important," ahh yes I would it slipped my mind, I take 40 chicken feed than please." After dealing with getting all my stuff and getting my chicken which I named Nico, in the end I headed home to plant the potatoes I bought earlier today and planted them next to the turnips. I then preceded to heading to my house and going inside to make myself some supper and god was I happy to make it and then eat it. It was a long day today and I was staving I would have never imagine that life on a farm was so hard to do. 

That night I ended up having another dream about Neil, this time in my dream he seemed to be trying to avoid eye contact with me because whenever I looked at him he would quickly look away but when I wasn't look I could feel his eyes watching me, following my every move.   Almost like he was waiting to do something or for me to do something, after a while I felt someone grabbed my hand and when I looked it was Neil, he was looking at me with a flushed face and he started opening his month to say something... Suddenly I woke up to the sound of my alarm going off, god how I hate the sound of that damn alarm I would break it but then I would have no source that would wake me up in the morning to do my farm work. I pushed my covers off me to the bitter chill in my house and slowly made my way to the fridge to get myself a glass of milk. I downed the milk in one go and placed the cup in the sink and headed towards the washroom to take a shower. After I was done showering I went outside to start my farm work for the day.

Later that day

I was walking around time after having lunch at home planning to make a quick stop at the General store when I heard a commotion coming from Neils house on his day off. I got closer to the house and even opened the door a creak to see inside what was going on, its not like I was meaning to intrigue to see what was going on in there or anything, he left the door unlocked anyways so I saw no harm in seeing what was going on inside Neils house.

Inside the house stood a man yelling at Neil about his business skills and the animals that he recently sold him. I could tell Neil didn't want anymore to do with the customer again. Next thing I knew the man yells at Neil about never buying animals from him again. In the very next instant the man headed to the door passing me and heading staight out the door.

It took Neil a while before he noticed I was there. "What are you doing here, just leave me alone" said Neil. "What?why? I asked." As I said this I could feel Neil eyes on me and I could feel was a harsh glare. "You don't understand what happened here", said Neil. " than explain it to me so that I can understand",I explained. Neil looked at me for a while I thought he was about to tell me to go again but the next thing out of his mouth wasn't what I was expecting.
"Well... Its just that man use to be one of my customers until recently, he came today to explain about a cow I sold him. He blamed me for selling him a sick cow but when I sold it to him it was healthy. I asked him how he was caring for the cow and by the way he was explaining how he took care of it I can see why it ended up sick. I pointed that out and that's when you showed up to see us arguing", Explained Neil. It took me a while to process all of what Neil told me, but than something dawned on me. "What about the sick cow!? Isn't it still sick?" I asked. The moment I said that I saw shock come across Neils face like he was surprised that I was concerned about the cow. "You're right I need to get medicine to it quick!" Neil said. Next thing I know Neil ran out the door.

I stood there for some time waiting for Neil to get back I was to worried about the cows condition to leave. An hour or two went by before Neil got back. When he walked through the door it took him a minute to notice I was still here. "What are you still doing here Rachel? Neil asked. " I was worried about the cow, I answered. Neil looks me in the eye and slightly smiles. "Well the cow should make a full recovery I got it the medicine in time I also gave the owner some advice on how to care for the cow, Neil said. I smiled now knowing that the cow was going to be fine. "Thanks for being here and asking for the cow I would have forgotten about the condition of the cow if you weren't here to remind me, I was just so angry at the man that I didn't think of the poor sick cow that needed treatment" Neil confessed. "There's no need to thank me I'm just glad that the cow is okay, well I should get going I got work to get done tomorrow and it won't get done on time if I don't head home soon for bed. Plus I don't want to keep you up any longer, you're a busy man" I said. I walked towards the door and right when I was opening the door I could hear Neil speck under his breath "thank you anyways if it wasn't for you that cow might have not made it" Neil spoke. I turned my head and smiled at Neil " I'll see you soon, bye!" As I said that I walked out the door.
