Allan and I were walking around in the Animal Kingdom. While Allan was looking for a good spot to look at the elephants, I was looking for Tarzan. Or at least a bright yellow dress. Because if I could find Jane, I could find Tarzan.
"Lizzie! Come and see! The elephants are getting fed!" Allan yelled overly excited.
"No way... that's so cool." I tried to sound amazed, but I'm a bad liar.
"Hey Allan, I gotta pee. Save me spot or something?" I asked, he nodded and I went off to find the man in the loincloth.

I've been looking for Tarzan for almost 30 minutes. Allan was probably worried. It's his thing. He always get's worried when he's alone. Maybe it was a stupid idea. I stood before a little waterfall surrounded by trees and bushes. I sighed and tried to concentrate. I closed my eyes and tried to figure out where he could be. In my deep concentration, I then heard a silent "pssst" coming from the trees over me. I ignored it first. It was probably just one of those sound effect-thingies. But then I heard it again. The "pssst". I opened my eyes and looked up finding a familiar face. I recognized the blue eyes. "Tarzan!" I whispered. He made a "ssh" gesture with his hand and disappeared again. I tried to follow him, but I wasn't aloud to climb in the trees. Was he even aloud? I heard the "pssst" again coming from a bush a little to the right. I followed him, but he kept running of. I tried to catch up, but since I was only running on the road and not in the wilderness as he was, it was very difficult. I ended up stopping. I guess I was giving up. I couldn't see him no more. Was it all something I had made up in my head? Was I that desperate? I decided to turn around and go back to Allan, but before I could even take one step, Tarzan jumped in front of me from the bushes. I got scared, of course, but gladly I didn't scream.
"Tarzan." I said happily. Since he was at work, I guess he wasn't aloud to go out of character. Because he was squatting on the ground, looking like Tarzan. He was wearing his usual costume. Looking banging. He stood up and touched my face.
"Lizzie," he said. I giggled and felt my cheeks burning up.
"I'm so happy to see you, I've been looking for you the last 30 minutes." I said and was about to touch his shoulder, but I heard a certain british accent coming from behind.
"Tarzan! Tarzan, there you are." said Jane and gave him a big hug. The actor quickly moved away from me to sign a kids book.
"And my friend... Lizzie?" I guess Jane wasn't as good with names as Tarzan. But I didn't care. He remembered my name. I nodded.
"It's so good to see you again, dear, isn't it Terk?" asked Jane to the gigantic fluffy gorilla suit that fooled around with someones banana. I laughed and smiled. Terk could always make me smile.
"Anyways, Tarzan, we need to get going." said Jane and went off with Terk. Tarzan came close again and whispered "sorry". I felt something in my hand. It wasn't another hand, but a piece of paper. I watched Tarzan run off after Jane and when I couldn't see him anymore, I looked at the paper. That said:
"Jiko - The Cooking Place, 1pm
- T"
I found my map to find "Jiko". It was in the Animal Kingdom, so it was close by. It was a restaurant. Wait, did he just ask me to meet him at a restaurant? As in a date? Or what? What time was it anyway? 12.16pm. 44 minutes till the meeting. I had to call Melissa.
I dialed her number on my phone and waited for her to pick up.
"Thank God you're calling! I'm so bored! Doug and Tommy are in the Haunted Mansion right now. No way I'm going inside that place! What's up? How are the elephants?" she asked.
"How should I know?" I asked. I totally forgot that I came with Allan in the first place.
"You're not with Allan?" she asked confused.
"What? Nonononono. I told him that I needed to pee, but I was really trying to find the Tarzan actor and..." Melissa cut me off.
"You bailed on poor Allan to find an actor?" Melissa did not take the news very well.
"I know, I do feel bad. But just hear me out. I did find him." I said.
"So?"
"So... he gave me a piece of paper asking me to meet him at this restaurant in 42 minutes!" I squeaked. There were a moment of silence, then I heard Melissa scream. She was clearly happy, excited and a slightly bit jealous.
"No way!!" she yelled.
"Yes way!" I yelled back.
"Where?!" she asked.
"I'm not telling you anything." I said. She laughed.
"Whatever, good luck! I'll go buy some pretzels for Doug and I. Have a great lunch date!" she said and hung up.
A lunch date... With Tarzan. Well, I can cross that of my bucket list now.
