It all started when we were driving home from a friend's house. We were in the car with my mom, dad, and brother. As we drove down the road, my dad started to suddenly spaz out and point at the window shouting "that-that's-that's the car!". Fear actually gripped my throat and stomach. Seeing my dad freak out like this, even when slightly intoxicated, was scary. We started to follow the car and after about three or four turns, we knew that they knew we were on to them. Even so, we kept following the unplated car. They pulled in to a driveway and turned around. We passed them and caught them going into the parking lot of an apartment complex called Kari Green. I'm glad I saw the sign pulling in, or else we would not have caught them. They pulled in to a parking space and we pulled in to on about 25 feet away. With adrenaline coursing through my body, I asked my parents what was so special about the car. They explained that it was a car they had seen on Facebook, reported as stolen. After that, I started to get excited. By this time, it was about 11:30pm. My dad was on the phone with 911, and reporting where we were and what had happened. If I hadn't been paying attention to the apartment's name, it would have taken much longer for the police to find us. We started to hear the sound of a helicopter, and realized that a police helicopter was circling in the air above us. Suddenly I saw flashing lights and realized that about eight police cars including 8-10 policemen and a search dog named Laslo. By this time, the thieves had escaped from the car, but being the morons they probably were, they only ran about a block or two. Laslo easily tracked down their scent to the house across the street. We had now called the owner of the jeep and he said he was on his way. A policeman came over to talk to us a little bit and he asked us if we saw the driver. We hadn't, but he said they had found the thieves in a sketchy house. In the end, we caught a thief or two and got a man his car back! Sorry it was a short story, but it's like midnight right now. This IS a true story!
