I called Pete, and he answered on the second ring.

"Hello?" he asked.

"Hey, Pete. Do you think you could come over soon?" I asked.

"Sure, babe. I'll be over in twenty."

"See you then."

After I hung up, I made sure everything in the apartment looked presentable. I gave myself a glance in the mirror before he knocked on the door.

"What's wrong, hun? You never call me to invite me over. Something must be up," Pete said as I answered the door.

"Y-yeah, actually... S-something is up," I stuttered, looking at the ground nervously.

He sighed. "You're breaking up with me, aren't you?" he asked, much to my surprise.

"What? H-how did you...? How?" I asked in disbelief.

"I can tell something's been up. You don't wait for me to walk home with you anymore. You don't blush when I compliment you. You don't hold my hand unless I grab yours first. I've seen it, Sky. I've noticed."

"P-Pete, I'm s-so sorry. It's just... I t-think I still love M-Mr. Way. He apologized, and I-I... I kind of want him back," I said, and a tear rolled down my face.

"Hey, hey. Don't cry. It's alright. Of course it hurts a little bit, but I'll be fine. If you're really still in love with your ex, you need to go to him. I just want you to be happy. I'll be fine," he said. I smiled at this.

"R-really?" I asked, suddenly smiling.

"Of course. Now I guess I should get going so you can sort this out with him. I really hope we can at least be friends."

"Sure. I'd love to stay friends with you," I said, although I was almost certain Gerard would never let that happen. Curse his jealousy.

"I'm glad. Thank you for everything, Sky. I wish you the best of luck with Mr. Way" he said, and we both stood up and hugged goodbye.

"Thank you so much for everything Pete. I really am sorry," I whispered.

"Don't be sorry. Just go get him back!" he said, which made me giggle. He pulled away from the hug, I kissed his cheek, and then he left.

After Frank got home, we just sat on the couch and watched movies. I was going to wait until the weekend to tell Gerard the news, so we could at least go out to dinner or something to celebrate. I can't wait to be his again. Gerard is my only hope, and it's been far too long since I've been with him.
