Sang's POV

[] [] [] []

A scowl formed on his face and his musky scent wafted to me smelling strongly of car engine oil for some reason. His clothing was all black and his hair looked wet as if he'd just gotten out of a shower. The collar on his shirt was untucked a little but none of this was what I first saw, or what I last saw.

I saw my fist heading for North's neck, because yeah when you aim for someone's head, you aim for where a normal person's head would be. Not someone as huge as North or, say, Silas.

Before it could connect though, I saw his fist come up, catch mine with cat like reflexes and squeeze gently when I wouldn't un-tense.

His other hand came up and was at my neck pinching a certain spot while my eyes were trained on the tiny smile at the corner of his mouth.

I would've cursed him, but then I was out like a light

Wil's POV

[] [] [] []

I dropped Sang off at her classroom, smiling widely because she didn't get to baby me this time by dropping me off first.

No matter how many times I tried to tell Sang I could help myself, she refused to stop at least watching me walk to class. There were countless times I tried to sneak away, only to have her text me "why are you creeping down the hallway?" And I'd turn around to have that little mini-ninja standing right behind me giggling up a storm.

Today, however, I knew a few things that Sang didn't. And that I wasn't prepared to tell her just yet.

I didn't know how.

In the past few months since Ashley Waters had been closed down again, Sang hadn't made one mention of the 7 guys she seemed to have fallen hard for all in one day. The one time I did, she had gotten grumpy and wouldn't say anything more.

"So have you heard from your hunks yet?" I was seated on the steps of my home with Sang as we waited on Kayli to come out. Sang agreed to give us a ride to the grocery store today and Kayli accepted. I might have hacked their phones to make it seem the other was asking. So what? I wanted them to be friends.

Sang, playing a game called Trivia Crack on her phone, looked up at me distractedly. "Hunks," she questioned raising one eyebrow.

I snorted and rolled my eyes, "Your Academy Guys. You know the guys who you left 16 kids in the band room to go save in the dark."

She cringed and glared at me. I felt heat suffusing my cheeks as I leaned over and laid my head on her shoulder. "Sorry, Sang. I know you didn't mean to, and it's not like they weren't safe."

She sighed and leaned her head over so she was laying on mine. I heard her voice as if from far away, likely the same place her thoughts were. She sometimes got a look and I just somehow knew she was thinking of them yet she never spoke of them aloud.
