I wake up quickly and get dressed. I want to apologize to Dean as fast as I can. As I brush my teeth, I rush to Gabe's room and bang on his door.
"What?" He whines.
"School. Come on." I say.
"Again?!" Gabe asks, sounding angry. I shake my head and leave to go downstairs. The kitchen is empty and I realize we still have twenty minutes before we need to leave for school. I decide to fix Gabe and I some cereal so he'll be in a better mood when he comes downstairs.
"Why is school more than one day?" Gabe asks, walking into the kitchen. I just slide him his bowl and start eating.
"At least today is Friday." I remind him.
"But we still have to go back Monday." Gabe groans.
"Fall break will be here before you know it." I tell him.
"Hey Cas?" Gabriel asks.
"Yeah?" I ask, worried about what he's going to ask me.
"Can we get a dog?" He asks. I almost laugh but then i realize he's serious.
"First of all: A dog!? Second of all: It isn't up to me." I explain.
"I know, but mom won't say yes." He tells me.
"Maybe you should talk to her more." I suggest.
"Maybe you should talk to her." Gabe smiles. Before I can answer, my mom walks into the kitchen.
"Good morning boys." She says to us.
"Morning." Gabe and I say in unison.
"Why are you two up so early?" My mom asks.
"I just woke up early and thought we should get a head start." I lie. I glance at Gabriel to see if he'll talk to her about a dog but he's just moving his cereal around.
"Alright, well I have to go on a business trip and I won't be back until Tuesday next week. Lucifer is in charge." She says and then she leaves.
"Oh no." Gabe says.
"Lucifer? Really?" I ask, more confused than ever.
"Why aren't you in charge?" Gabriel asks me.
"I don't know. Maybe she thinks Lucifer has changed." I say. Gabriel laughs and pushes his bowl away.
"I'm not that hungry." He says and pulls out a sucker.
"Maybe it's because you eat so much candy." I grin and put our bowls in the sink. Gabriel runs up to get his school stuff while I wait in the car. He jumps into the front seat and we head to the school. As soon as we pull out of the driveway, Dean's black car pulls out behind us.
"Hey there's Sam and his brother!" Gabe points out as we drive. I just nod and speed up a little.
"Does Sam like sports like his brother?" I ask. Gabriel gives me a weird look.
"No! Sam is a huge nerd. He's pretty cool even though he doesn't talk much." Gabe says. I nod and we pull into the school parking lot. I don't see where Dean parks so I just walk into school with Gabe.
"Bye Gabe." I say and go to my locker. I stand there, waiting for Dean but decide to head to my class when I see Brandon. Charlie is already there, reading a gaming book.
"Hey." I say.
"Hey, did you talk to Dean yet?" She asks.
"No, not yet. I haven't had the chance." I tell her.
"Well he's here now." Charlie tells me. I turn and look at the classroom door. Dean walk in and he comes to his row. He hesitates before sitting down next to me.
"Dean, I'm sorry I got angry yesterday. I wasn't thinking and I sort of let my anger out on you." I say quickly, looking at him. I mumble another 'sorry' when he doesn't answer.
"I thought I was just some Jock bully." Dean says coldly.
"I shouldn't have said that." I tell him. He doesn't look at me. He just stares at his hands.
"You're right. You shouldn't have." The way he says this makes my heart clench and I feel like I really messed things up.
"Look, I a really am sorry." I say but he just looks straight, not saying anything. I sigh and look at Charlie and she just shrugs.

Dean has been ignoring me all day and in sixth period, he still is. Julia and Charlie go on and on about something and Dean is just staring at a wall, or his hands, or watching everyone else. He won't look at me.
"So Cas, you wanna come?" Charlie asks, nudging my side.
"Come where?" I ask.
"To Benny's party tonight. He said I could invite however many people I wanted to." Julia says.
"Oh-um- I don't know. Parties aren't really my type of thing." I admit.
"It'll be fun. Charlie and I will be there so you can hang with us." Julia says.
"Okay, I'll come. But I'm not saying I'll stay." I tell her. Julia smiles and then turns to Dean.
"What about you Dean? You coming to the party?" She asks him.
"Maybe. It depends what my little brother is doing tonight. I don't want him to stay home alone." Dean says. I hadn't thought about Gabriel. I don't want him staying there alone with Lucifer. Maybe Sam could come over and they could stay there together.
"Well, I hope you can come. Benny's parties are awesome." Charlie says.
"And football tryouts are today." Dean says.
"Well Benny's on the team. And the party isn't until seven." Charlie explains. Dean nods and the bell rings. Everyone stands up and I try to hurry after Dean but he's too fast. I wave by to Charlie and Julia before hurrying to my locker.
"Good luck at tryouts." I call to Dean as he passes me. He turns around and nods with a small smile. A wave of happiness rushes over me. Maybe he isn't that mad anymore. When I walk out of the hall, Dean and Sam are talking with Gabe by their side.
"Hey Cassie!" Gabe waves me over.
"Don't call me that." I snap as I walk over to him.
"Can we bring Sam home? Dean can't because of football tryouts." Gabe pleads.
"Sure, I don't mind." I smile at Sam and Gabe.
"Sweet! Maybe he could come over, too?" Gabriel asks.
"Well....I guess that'd be okay." I tell him. He grins widely and the two run outside.
"Thanks." Dean mumbles before heading to the football field. I sigh and go out to my car. Sam and Gabe are waiting in the back seat, laughing.
"Can we stop by Sam's place? He needs to get clothes and drop his things off." Gabe asks.
"So he's staying the night?" I ask, looking at him through the review mirror. Gabe just shrugs and he and Sam start laughing again.
"Ugh, alright." I sigh and pull out of the school parking lot. Sam gives me directions and when we pull into his driveway, both boys jump out. They race to the front door and burst through it. When they come back outside, Sam leaves a key under their mat and they hop in the car.
"Hey Gabe, I'm gonna go to this party with Charlie and Julia tonight. Will you two be okay with Luke? If not, I'll stay home." I ask them as I pull out of the drive.
"No, it's fine! Go to the party with De- I mean Charlie. Have fun, kiddo." Gabriel tells me.
"Stop calling me kiddo." I say as we reach the house.
"Nope." He smiles and they get out of the car, running up to the door. When I get in the house, Sam and Gabe are already rushing up the stairs. I hardly notice Lucifer sitting at the kitchen table.
"Hey there, Cas. Who was that with Gabe?" Lucifer asks.
"His friend Sam. I'm going to a party tonight around seven. I don't know when I'll be back." I say flatly, grabbing a bag of chips from the pantry.
"A party?" Lucifer asks, rising his eyebrows at me.
"Yeah, a party." I confirm and start to go upstairs but the doorbell rings. I whine and walk to the door. When I open it, Charlie and Julia are standing there, smiling at me.
"What are you doing here? The party isn't for another two hours." I say.
"We are here to help you get ready." Charlie smiles.
"It will not take me two hours to get ready." I tell her.
"It will since we're helping." Julia smiles. The two push past me and walk into my kitchen with me behind them.
"Well hello there." Lucifer says, looking Julia and Charlie up and down. I give him a disgusted look and lead the girls to my room. When I pass Gabe's room, I hear him shriek and slam the door open.
"What the hell was that?!" I ask.
"Gabe saw a spider." Sam laughs. Gabe is on his bed, curled in a ball, pointing at a corner in his room. He quickly snaps out of it when he sees Charlie and Julia.
"Oh hello. Who are you?" He asks.
"Gabe, you know Charlie." I say.
"I know. I know. I mean the other one." Gabriel points at Julia.
"I'm Julia." She says, smiling at them.
"Oh, I'm Gabriel and this is Sammy." Gabe says and Sam swats his arm.
"Wait, are you Dean's little brother?" Charlie asks. Sam nods.
"Ohmigod you're so cute!" Julia says and tackles him in a hug. Charlie does the same and Gabe and I just look at each other. A few seconds later Gabriel joins them and says, "So cute, so cute."
"Cas- halp." Sam says, reaching out to me.
"I'd rather not." I say and start to leave before Gabriel screeches again. Charlie and Julia jump back, leaving Sam free.
"GABE!" Sam screams and pounces on him. They fall to the floor and Gabe screeches one more time. Lucifer leaps into the room with a baseball bat.
"Gabe, what the fuck?" He asks. Sam and Gabe just stop and stare at Lucifer, completely unaware that Sam is on top of Gabe.
"I am so sick of this family." Lucifer sighs and leaves the room.
"Well, we have to get Cas dressed for the party. You two have fun doing whatever you're doing." Julia smiles and drags me out of the room.
"I don't really think this is necessary." I say as we enter my room. Charlie shuts my door and Julia walks to my closet. I sit on my bed as they argue over what I should wear.
"I like this color. Maroon is cool."
"But it doesn't bring out his pretty eyes."
"Black?"
"Eh, maybe. Look for something else, though."
"Don't do anything blue. His eyes are blue enough."
"What about his hair?"
"What about it?"
"We have to get a color that goes with his hair, too."
"Like what?"
"I don't know! Maybe green or something?"
At that moment, both girls turn to me.
"What are you doing?" Charlie asks.
"Uh...nothing." I say.
"Go take a shower!" Julia says.
"A shower?" I ask.
"Yes! A shower! Go. Now." Julia says. I realize there's no arguing so I get up and go to my bathroom. Feeling slightly awkward since they're in my room, I check the door twice and make sure it's locked before getting undressed.
