**Beep Beep**
Ugh, It's morning, seems like I just feel asleep. I don't wan to go to school. I don't want to get up. There's only one problem though...It's my birthday and my room is full of family and friends.
"Uh, can I get ready for school? In private? Please?" I asked sitting up.
"Of course, honey. But first.." Mom said
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!" Everyone chanted simultaneously.
"Thanks. Now, everyone out." I said while walking towards my door which was wide open.
"Um." This came from behind me. That voice. I know it. The sweet, soft voice could only belong to...Oh no. Not....Bennie. Bennie was my crush. My head over heels. The one who secretly stole my heart without knowing it.
" NO." I yelled running to my closet. In that moment I realized I was still in my footy pajamas-Santa Claus footy pajamas.
"Um, Ashley?" Bennie said. "I was told to just come on up. I thought you were....decent." He was nervous. I could tell.
"I'm sorry, Bennie. Literally just woke up." I said voice trailing off because I was more concerned on hiding my blood red face in my closet.
"Ashley. Come out. You look cute no matter what you wearing. I have something for you." Bennie said. He always knew what to say. His voice shook. He has something for me. I wonder what it is. I quickly put my black dress on that I bought a week ago. I grabbed my black sandals and my purse and walked out of my closet. He had the look of astonishment on his face. He looked like he's never seen me wear it before. Oh yeah, he hasn't.
"What is it?" I say quietly. I'm not one to wear girly girl things. Dresses and things aren't my style. I'm more of an all black kind of girl hence the black dress.
"Here." He handed my a bouquet of flowers. "There's a note in it."
I look for the note. It's hard to find when the roses are white and so it the paper. I finally spot it. It says: Ashley, happy birthday. I saw these roses and automatically thought of you. You're my light when it's dark out. This is only the first gift you will be receiving from me today. The rest are hidden, you have to use the clues I give you to find them. First and for most, I have a question for you... Ashley. Can you make me the happiest guy in the world, and be my girlfriend? My eyes started to water. This is the sweetest thing that has ever happened to me. He is the sweetest boy I've ever met. "Yes, of course." I saw wiping a tear off my cheek.
"Yay. I promise I will never hurt you. I know your experience with guys, and I promise to be different. I promise to show you what it's like to actually be loved."
"I'm ready. I promise to be the best girlfriend I can be..It'll be hard since I've never been shown how to be a real girlfriend, but I'll do my best." I look at him. His eyes are watering. I can tell I've made him super happy.
"Hey, OMG did I walk in on something." My best friend Angel walked in as soon as I started full out crying in his arms. "What did you do to her, Bennie?"
"Nothing, I promise! I just made her my girlfriend." His face is super red now.
"Angel calm down its okay. He's my boyfriend now." I looked at her and her face went from anger, to shock, to disappointment in all of 5 seconds. "Angel, are you okay? What's bothering you? Tell me now."
