The No Name Pirate

chapter 1

"What's your name?" The captain said with a accent of some sort. The accent seemed to be some sort of British or Irish accent. Not from around here for sure. He was standing across the room and making a scene of nothing.

"I have no name." The young lad of only 17 years of age and dark brown short hair and wondrous green eyes that seemed to show no emotion at all. he was just trying to enjoy a drink of scotch at a bar. The young lad had no desire to turn around and look at the captian.

"So you're the nameless pirate that everyone is buzzing about?" The captain said with his drunken voice. They were standing in a tavern with lots of drunken happy people laughing and flirting with the young girls that had to live with this just to get tips.

The sailor shrugged. "So that's what they're calling me now? It's pathetic" He said ignoring the captain once more, as he got back to his "friendly" drink of scotch.

"Boy you didn't answer my question!" The captain said getting impatient while he fumbled his way over in a pile of hiccups and a bad stench of whiskey and rum. He sat in the stool next to the young lad as he grabbed the back of the collar of the young boy's shirt. "What's your name?" The captain said as he didn't need to be any closer than he already was. "Pirate or not everyone has a name." He said his voice closer to his ear sounded raspy and unintelligent.

"I guess I'm just that once exception that doesn't." The sailor said and turned his head ever so slightly to look at the drunken captain with a sharp, intense glare that could shatter bones.

"Everyone has a name. A given one and stolen one. I ask once more, what's your name?" He said the last part very slowly as the young lad could hear the anger rising in his voice. The captain's free hand was on his sword and just in the line of sight for the boy.

"Names, if someone knows them they have power and control over you and I will tell you this for the last time I don't have one." He snapped at the captain as before the boy could speak again he had been whipped around by the captain with a sharp metal sliver of iron against his neck.

"Do your worst to me." The boy chuckled with a smirk.

"I intend to." The captain said and without hesitation the boy was whipped around once again so the side of his face met the bar counter. He let out a sigh and before he knew it his hands were being tied with twine."You've got some price on your head kid" the captain said and held a piece of paper with his face on it with a large sum of money under it.

"Awe you slick son of a bitch." The boy said while being dragged by some men as he looked at the captain and gave him another "famous" bone shattering glare. "You're going to regret this." He growled.

"I know that once we get england I'm going to be rich" the captain smiled.

"I doubt that" The boy grinned slightly.

The captain growled at the boy. The boy was being dragged by the men to a ship. "Well i hate to say my goodbyes so soon but your mine now." The captain said as he started walking ahead on the boat. The boy watched him leave as he felt a sharp pain in the back of his head then, nothing.

"oi, boy stand up. show me that you can fight like a real pirate and you may join this crew" Said the captain with and sword pointed at his chest "get up and fight like one." He said.

The pirate still had the rope around his wrists as he stood up. The captain started to swing at him as he jumped back and found something sharp and cut the rope off and grabbed a man's sword. He grabbed the sword and swigged back at the captain. The clashing of the swords and the sharp breaths of the captain, himself and the sea against the boat were the only sounds that remained.

"You fight with good form." Said the captain as he stood at a standstill with himself and the captain where the swords were locked. "But not good enough." Said the captain just nicking the skin of boy.

The boy sighed and drew away, his eyes still locked on the captain. "You may have beaten me and I may have to serve you now but know this... Everything comes with a price." The boy said and stood up straight and gave back the sword. The man said to keep it as he put it in his belt.

"Well then it's captain, captain Jones." The captain bowed slightly.

The boy had a smug smile on his face. "Well captain Jones the no name pirate is at your service" the boy bowed slightly as well and glared at the captain but a smug smile was stuck on his face.
