We have all heard about magicians, people who try and make us believethat magic is real. Con-men, party entertainers, school kids tryingout tricks on each other, etc. Then you get the major league players, these guys who have their own TV shows or are internet sensations, people who make you think that they must be some kind of god. But youalways know it's some kind of trick. You don't know how they did itbut in the back of your mind you know it must be some kind of cleverdistraction or slight of hand. I was like this, always trying tofigure out the trick, and even tried to master a few myself. But thething is, magic can get addictive. Always trying to figure out otherpeople's tricks, prove that you can upstage them, and before you knowit, you're in deep. For most people it's fine. They become a bitobsessed with magic, trying to show off, and then they slowly loseinterest when it loses it's sparkle. But then there are others, thosewho think about magic, day and night, always thinking up new tricks, but not for a profession or anything, for the buzz. Those people canget so obsessed with magic, that little else matters, and before theyknow it they're in too deep, and there's no way to get back outagain. I was one of these unlucky few.
