Chapter One: The Party

June POV

"Hi," he says. "I'm Daniel."
"Hi," I reply. "I'm June."

It takes all my self control not to run up to him and kiss him, and run my fingers through his hair- which is cut much shorter than it was and, just be held by him.  Instead, I tightly grip Ollie's leash. I look into his eyes and I know what he means by fog. He recognizes me but not the way I recognize him. He's not introducing himself because he remembers the wish. He's doing it because that's how he would introduce himself to a stranger. And all of the sudden I feel like I can't breathe. Eden looks at me and gives me a sad smile knowing how I'm feeling. If possible, I feel even more empty.   "You're the one the Republic sent to see if I was okay right?" He asks. "Yeah." I said sadly. I feel like this is hopeless. But then I remind myself who I am. I. am June. Iparis. And I don't need anyone. That's what I would've said 11 years ago. Now there's Day. And I know saying that would be a lie. I completely and utterly needed him and he was ripped out of my life. He's back in it now; but he might as well be just as far away. And I know exactly how Anden feels. You want something or in this case someone so badly you'd do anything and you can't have them. But I put on my tough girl face and pretend everything is going to be all right. I know it won't. Instead of pouring out everything I want to say I just say,"Well you can follow me to 'The Best Place Ever' as Tess calls it which is really called 'Sapphire Friday's." "Lead the way." He says with a small smile. Oh his voice, I could just melt in it. I begin to walk towards the restaurant in which we are meeting at. I walk in and see Tess. We hug. Then Day hugs her and kisses her on the cheek. I want to strangle her. SELF- CONTROL!!!!!! Breathe. Okay, okay. Eden sees me and whispers something in Days' ear. He pulls away. I walk over to say hello to my other friends. Anden, Pascao, Ryder(my second in command with whom I've become close with. Strictly friendly, not that it could be anything else, he's gay[I've said in other stories and I'll say it again. THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH BEING GAY OR LESBIAN!! AND IF YOU DISAGREE OH F-ING WELL!Basically what the video at the beginning/top/wherever it is, is about].), and Maddie(My next door neighbor that I have become very close with.)

                 The waiter comes over. We all order drinks and appetizers first. The guys get chicken wings and the us girls get mozzarella sticks and marinara sauce. In the middle of eating a waitress comes and pushes her boobs up. They're basically hanging out of her shirt. She takes everyone's order and leans down when she gets to Ryder. He looks like he's about to throw up. I laugh, out loud. "He's gay." I say. "So you can put your girls back." She blushes and flips me off. I flip her off and say," The feeling's mutual." Then give her the falsest smile I have. We get our food 20 minutes later and luckily it's the waiter we first had.

I got a gun. Tess knows me so well. I got other stuff, but that's not even close to as important. I walk myself home. And I change into my pajama's. Turns out that Day and Eden are going to be staying here for a year. And they just happen to be directly across from me. Well, Day is. Eden is diagonal from me. I have a year to get him to remember. And for the first time in a few years, I have only good dreams.

Tess POV
Tonight was fun. I'm worried about June she seems... sad. Well, sure she's always sad. But, with Day here and him not remembering her, I really can't blame her. I just hope she gets better. Anyway, Eden was looking cute! It was really awkward when Day kissed my cheek. I'm, like, so over him. He's like my brother. I still don't trust Maddie. She seems to nice.

Unknown POV
She thinks we're fine. That we're friends. What she did was unacceptable. Whether she knows it or not, I will get my revenge.
