Chapter 2 - Party

Skyler huffed as he looked out the window, angry and tired. It was still pouring buckets outside, which made the sneezing boy groan. Skyler blinked curiously when his mother, Amanda, made a sharp left turn.

"...Mom, where are we going?" Skyler asked, turning his attention towards Amanda. "We're going to pick up Jeremy, sweetie." She replied simply. Skyler groaned again and beat his head on the window. 'Only a miracle could make this lousy day better...' Skyler thought to himself, his attention locked on the speeding colors out the window again.

Skyler had waited to arrive at the school, but was fairly surprised when he arrived at their house.

"I thought we were going to pick up Jeremy..." The blondette muttered as he stepped out of the small white Saturn. "Well you thought wrong~" Amanda chirped happily. She searched for her house key, and once she found it, opened the door.

Skyler was shocked as he stepped in the house. A banner hung from the ceiling with the words 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY SKYLER!' hung from the ceiling, and a marvelous chocolate cake was sitting on the kitchen table, a wrapped present next to it.

"Mom, thank you so much!" He smiled, hugging Amanda tightly. "It's no problem sweetie," She replied, hugging Skyler back. "Now open your present."

"But don't we eat cake first?" He asked, eyebrows raised. "Don't be silly, it's twelve o'clock and you haven't had breakfast yet. We'll have the cake later, now just open the present~!"

Skyler sighed and cautiously started unwrapping the present and gasped at what was inside.
