Chapter Four (Good Friends)

My eyes snapped open when I heard  a twig snap. Then I thought to myself what the hell a twig? I rose up and noticed I was naked except for my shirt and it was ripped. I looked around and I was in the woods butt ass naked. What the hell is going on here?  I stand up grab my clothes and put them on, and then I remember these are the clothes that Teagan gave me, before we went to the....kegger. Oh my Lord something must have happened last night. I walked in circles thinking which way should I go. Then I say a broke tree limb and a trail, and I took that path. I walked until I came to a clearing, and there were nothing but drunk teenagers on the ground sleeping off the booze. I saw kegs, red cups, and Teagan...I ran over to her. I slapped her, and she didn't even budge. Well thank the Lord she's a skinny bitch. I slipped my right arm under her head and my left under her legs and picked her up. She wrapped her arms around my neck and breathed,"Where we going mommy?" Her breath smelled of Vodka. Ugh...! I walked to where her car was and look at that just my luck. Her car was being towed away. Dangett! I did the first thing that comes to mind in an emergency. I leaned down and laid her on a tree, and pulled out my cell phone.

   Dialed number two.

   "Hello?"

"Leo please don't hate me, but I need your help," I said quickly.

"You didn't. Did you?" He was referring to going to the kegger.

   I didn't answer.

"You did. Shit Willow. Where are you?" He asked pissed off.

"Actually I don't really know but there is a sign that says "Hepburn's Dept."

"Be there in a second," he said totally pissed. I could have sworn I heard that phone slam.

I sat down next to where I laid Teagan and waited. I knew it wouldn't take long I mean come on it's Leo. Right then I realized all a kegger is, is drinking outside. No buildings involved, how dumb and I got caught right in the middle of it.

He drove up and he got out. He walked up to me fuming and I was actually a little scared," All right start talking."

"I went to the kegger with Teagan-," he cut me off," I know that dammit, but why did you lie to me?!"

"I didn't want you to come to the party and get in a fight or something," he looked even angrier.

"You didn't want me to come? You didn't want me to get in a fight? Why? Oh wait let me guess, you didn't want me to embarrass you right?"  I didn't answer.

We walked up to me and grabbed my shoulders looking into my eyes," Willow I wouldn't have came to fight I would have came to be with my best friend and protect her. If I got angry and you said stop I would have stopped," he looked away.

"So what do you need me to do?" He asked.

I snapped back to reality and ran to Teagan," Open the back door."

He opened the back door and walked to the driver's side and got in.

I pick Teagan up just like before, and took her to the car and sat her down in the seat upright. I shut her door and got in the passenger's side. I looked back to the backseat and she was all sprawled out already. I turned back around and looked at Leo, "How mad are you?"

"Pretty damn mad, but remember what I told you I still love you," he said, only glancing at me when he said, "I still love you" . He looked away and turned the key to start the car.

We went to Teagans first, and she was beginning to budge from her drunken coma. The only reason I knew that is because when I pull her back upright she opened her eyes. She looked at me and said,"Don't take me here. My dad will kill me...take me to your place." I let go of her and she just fell right back over and passed out.

I got back in and Leo drove. He wouldn't speak to me or even look at me. We went to my house and my mom was a sleep since it's her day off.

Leo actually helped this time. He opened all the doors and came outside and got her feet and I got her torso. Well walked really quickly to my room. He dropped her feet and started swiping everything off my bed and grabbed her feet again. He looked up and smiled for the first time in a while,"On three," he said. He started to swing her quickly.

" One. Two," and on three we tossed her on the bed. She just giggled a little.  I glanced over at the clock. Oh my Lord it's only seven thirty in the morning. Leo must have seen the surprise in my face while I was looking at the clock.

He tapped me,"That's what liquoir does to you." I relaxed my face and dropped my eyes to the floor in guilt. Then I got into one of them sudden moods of cleaning. That is one thing about being a teenager that really confuses me I just get in the "mood" for the weirdest things.

Leo suddenly said,"I'll be back in a couple of hours so I can cool off okay?"

"Yeah. Yeah I understand," I said.

Leo walked out really fast, he's just so used to jumping over all of my junk. Teagan's not though so I need to clean up and fast.

I went in the hallway closet and grabbed a hamper, and brought it back to my room. I picked up every single dirty item of clothing and tossed it in the hamper. I picked it up and took it to the laundry room and dumped the clothes in the washer. I put the hamper on top of the washer and grabbed some hangers and a trash bag. I speed walked to my room and hung all the clothes I can and the rest of the left over clothes in my drawers. Then i began picking up all the trash, and put it in the garbage bag. I took the bag outside and put in the garbage bin. Then I remember the dishes and I ran in there and picked them up and ran to the kitchen and put them in the dishwasher.

Then it hit me, that was just my room, what about the rest of the house. So I began to clean once more...

****************************************************

It was a quarter to noon when Teagan woke up and was functioning almost normally. I gave her some asprin and coffee. She hasn't spoken yet but you can tell she's has a killer hangover. I didn't really have a bad hangover.

She looked up from her coffee and said," Thanks."

   "Not a problem," I said.

"Hey Willie where are we?" She said looking at my spotless room.

"We're at my house," I said, "and this is my room."

"Really?!" She said way too excited for her hangover because when she said it she grabbed her head.

    "Um...yeah," I said with a giggle.

"So wait how'd you get me here and why?" She asked concerned.

"Well I wasn't going to leave you laying on the ground drunk and asleep. Oh and your car got towed. So Leo came and picked us up and brought us here." I smiled.

"I knew it. I knew you'd be a wonderful friend to me," she said.

     "Yeah," I said.

She jumped up and hugged me and said, "You're my best friend," she added, "by the way this hangover is killing me."
