//Ella\\"This meeting is dismissed" my boss claps his hands together. It's finally the end of the day, I work as a magazine editor, I'm in a office all day so I can't wait to get home. Plus it's my birthday today and everyone is invited over for a little party. I stand up adjusting my dress so it's not riding up my bum.
I grab my papers off the meeting desk and put them under my arm."So I'll come over around 6:00 ish?" One of my fellow workers, Nathan asks me. Nathan and I have been really close ever since I started working here. We start walking down the hall together.
"Yeah, you don't have to dress too fancy though" I winked at him and started laughing.
"Okay, I won't" he laughs, we reach my office.
"Alright well text me" I start unlocking my office door.
"Okay, see you later" he smiles. I open up my door and walk into my cold office. My office has always been way too cold so sometimes I end up bringing a sweater, some of my friends that work here make fun of me for it but hey, I don't want to be cold.
I pack up all my stuff while trying to text one of my brothers. Asher and I are twins which makes it both of our birthdays today, were turning 21.
I'm trying to get a hold of him to make sure he's not late. He's always late.
After all my stuff is put away and ready to go I grab my keys, travel mug and my purse then lock my office door behind me. I walk down the hall and out into the parking lot, my car is always in the same spot unless some ass hole customer takes it.
I unlock my car door, getting in and placing all my stuff in the seat next to me. After staring up the car I drive out of the parking lot, I turn up the radio and 'Hey Mama' by David Guetta comes on. I hum along to the song for a couple second and the one thought that has been lingering through my head all day pops up yet again. It's send me different emotions but mostly just pissed off and upset. My boyfriend, Isaac hasn't sent a "Happy Birthday" text or call or anything today. Isaac is in Dubai right now for a business trip, he's been gone for 7 days now. He actually comes home tomorrow, which I'm excited about because I don't have to be home alone when I get home from work.
I always try to invite one of my brothers over but they have life's of there owns.
Just like Isaac does, I mean that's probably why he hasn't texted me at all today, or yesterday may I add. He's probably busy at work, trying to make money for us.
I pull into my drive way, after I turn off the car I sigh, leaning into the chair.I hate being that girlfriend that needs to know everything that their boyfriend is doing but these last three months I can't help but feeling a little insecure. He's always gone and sometimes he won't answer my text messages for a couple days at a time which gets me thinking about all kinds of bad shit.
I shake my head quickly grabbing my things and heading into my house. I'm greeted by my golden retriever puppy, Lola. She barks up at me while wagging her tail like crazy.
"Hush baby" I bend down petting her and then kissing the top of her head. I walk into my kitchen, Lola close behind and grab myself a cold glass of water chugging it down. After I place it into the sink I walk upstairs looking through my clothes. What is house party appropriate?
I change out of my lilac purple dress and grab a loose striped t shirt, dark blue skinny jeans and some tan booties. Just for a little bling I added the new gold watch I just bought and a necklace with a elephant pendant. I quickly brush my teeth and hear the doorbell go off about three times, either my parents or one of my brothers. I can hear my puppy barking excitedly waiting to see whose on the other side of the door. I shut off the lights too my bathroom and close my bedroom door on the way out. Quickly walking towards the door, it opens before I can even get to it. My mom, dad and my brother Brody walks in. They are all pretty dressed up even though I said casual, well my family always says go big or go home.
