From Afar.

You're sitting there at the diner booth, waiting on your partner to show up so you can work on the upcoming case, when a particular guy walks in the diner. You glance at him but you pay him no mind. You continue to occupy yourself by reading the magazines and newspapers the diner had set on the tables. You figured that you didn't want to finish reading the books and you glanced up to see if your waitress was coming but something else caught your eye. You noticed that the same guy that had walked in was sitting right across from your booth. As you continued to look, you thought to yourself that he was very cute and you'd love to conversate with him, but you're nervous so you didn't plan on saying anything. Just as you got into deep thought he turned around and caught you staring at him. He starting smiling and just as you guys made eye contact, you got distracted by the waitress. "Snap out of it!" you did a little jump and looked at her. "Snap out of what?" you replied. "That little day dream you were having. I seen you looking at him. Undressing each other with your eyes." You quickly responded with, "We were not!". "Yes, yall were! What color draws he got on?" the waitress jokingly asked. "I don't know & I don't want to know. Just give me my bagel & my coffee please." you said. "FINE!" The waitress said, "I'll be right back with your 3 sugars and extra butter, & I'll be out of your hair.". "Thank you." You said. "Thank you." The waitress replied in a jokingly mocking manner.
