Chapter 11

"Greetings, my pack!" Atticus yelled out.

Literally. He almost made me deaf.

"I am here to confirm the rumors," He continued. I started rubbing my ear and stepped away from him a bit. I heard a couple of people chuckling at my reaction and I felt my face start to warm up.

Well, then.

"The rumors are true! A human is here on our territory! Her name is Vitani!"

I heard gasps. I looked around the crowd and faces filled with horror stared back. A lady fainted, a man yelled out that I should be decapitated, and a baby started crying.

"Everyone remain calm!" Atticus yelled. The murmurs in the crowd stopped and all attention was back on the attractive man standing next to me.

As soon as he said that, I pictured someone taking out a nuclear missile and aiming it at me. I started chuckling and shook my head at the idea.

Don't be an idiot, I thought with one last chuckle.

"What's so funny?" I heard Atticus ask me. I lifted up my head and looked over at him.

Oh, nothing. I'm just imagining one of your pack members magically taking out a missile and shooting it at me.

"Oh, nothing. Just a silly thought I had," I said calmly. He nodded and turned around, continuing on with his boring speech.

"Vitani is here in peace! She will not harm anyone, and in return, no harm shall come to her!" he yelled.

"Why the hell not?"

"She deserves it!"

"-b*tch should suffer!"

"Just kill her already!"

All types of opinions were yelled out, from wanting to shred me to pieces to wanting to slice me in half with a sharp stick so that I would suffer.

I rolled my eyes at the immature wolves.

Such mature thoughts for you grown people.

"No harm will come to my mate!" Atticus yelled with a fierce growl.

That was when the real drama began.

Girls started screaming at me and flipping the bird at me, shooting me the worst glares that they could muster up. Shoes were thrown at me, insults were yelled out and some girl at the front even tried lunging at and pulling at my legs in an attempt at making me trip.

Atticus let out a powerful growl, shutting everyone up.

"I said no harm would come to my mate." He said in a low voice, picking up a shoe. He looked up and threw it at the wall, causing the heel to break in half.

"Those cost me money!" A girl yelled out.

"Oh, good, thank you for volunteering," Atticus said as he motioned for the girl to come up to the stage.

Her eyes widened as she realized he had tricked her.

Slowly, she walked up to the stage and got on, walking over to Atticus.

He gave her a menacing smile before he hit her and threw her to the ground.

"Anyone else?" He asked.

I don't know what I was expecting, but I sure as hell was not expecting that.
