Great big oak trees on both sides of the driveway, lead the way to the magnificent creme colored mansion. In the middle of the cul de sac sat a beautiful fountain with an angel overlooking two children at play. Looking at Jake I asked," This is where you live?"

He kept his eyes ahead and said," Yea, unfortunately." Hearing the hurt in his voice, I decided against saying or asking anything else. He put the car in park, but didn't turn off the engine. As he was getting out, I asked," Aren't you going to turn the car off?"

He flashed me one of his perfect smiles and said," No. George, the valet, is going to take care of it," he said pointing to the man standing right next to him. Boy, did I feel stupid. I don't think I could ever get used to this.

Walking over to my side, he opened the door and held out his hand. Slipping my slender hand into his, I realized how small it was, but it fit perfectly. Getting out of the car, I said," Thank you Mr. Giddian."

" My pleasure Miss Jenkins," he said staring into my eyes. Looking at the mansion, I felt like I should pinch myself because I was pretty sure this was all a dream. A slight breeze caressed my bare arms making me shiver.

" Are you cold?" he asked.

" Yea Just a little bit."  He wrapped his arms around my shoulders pulling me into his warmth. A feeling arose down deep in my soul. I have never felt this way before.Could it be this is what love feels like.

" Are you ready to meet my parents?" he asked pulling away and staring into my eyes.

That was a great question. I was so nervous my stomach was practically in my throat. Taking a deep breath I said," Yes, I'm ready."

Now I was definitely dreaming. Walking through the front doors the first thing you see is a grand staircase made of polished marble, sparkling crystal chandeleirs hover high above you, vases filled with freshly cut pink roses and an apple cinnamon aroma awakens your senses. His place was amazing.

I was so busy taking everything in I didn't realize his parents walking towards us. " Mom. Dad. This is Andrea Jenkins, my girlfirend."

Looking at his parents, you would have thought they were celebritites. You could tell where Jake got his good looks. His mother was about five feet 6 inches tall, shoulder length dark hair, stunning hazel eyes and a body that any woman would kill for. His father was the same height and bulid as Jake, his eyes a light green and he had short spikey black hair.

" Hello Andrea, I'm Carla." She grabbed my hand and shook it gently. "It is very nice to meet you. We have heard so many great things about you," she said in an very angelic voice.

" It's very nice to meet you too," I said politely, shaking her hand in return and smiling.

" And I'm Mr. Giddian, but you can call me Aaron. It seems to me that Jake has been lying to me about you." My heart stopped. I knew it. This was all to good to be true.

" Oh really," I said curious to find out. He probably had another girlfriend.

" You are way more beautiful then Jake says you are." Feeling the heat rush to my cheeks, I smiled and looked at Jake.

" Thanks Dad," Jake said embarassed and grabbing my hand. " We are going out to the backyard so I can introduce her to the rest of the family."

" It was nice meeting you both. You have a very lovely home," I said politely.

" Thank you very much. You are welcome here anytime," said Carla smiling.

Walking past his parents, a feeling of relief washed over me. The hard part was over and to be honest it wasn't that bad. They were very nice people and I am glad that I met them.
