Chapter 1: Lost in the rain

I was running home. The rain was coming down like never before. I finally got home. The rain still crashing down. ¨What an awful storm isn't it Lily?¨ Aunt Clare said. ¨Yes it raining cats and dogs out there¨My little sister ran down the stairs and to the window almost tripping over one of the dog's toys. ¨Where are the cats and dogs?¨ I just stood there with my face in my hand thinking of a way to explain to my sister. ¨Emily ¨raining cats and dogs¨ just means it's raining a lot¨ I say trying to explain to her.¨So there are no cats and dogs?¨ ¨Yes Emily there are no cats and dogs¨ She walked all the way back up to her room. ¨Don't forget to take a bath tonight¨ Aunt Clara yelled up the stairs. After a while Aunt Clara had said that Emily came down in her raincoat and boots.¨Where are u going?¨Aunt Clara asked. ¨I'm going to go play in the rain¨Before emily could head out the door I grab her and carried her up the stairs. I had sat her down on a chair in my room I took the coat off. ¨Sis you really need to stop giving Auntie a hard time¨ I say ¨Well it's not my fault Mr.Fluffy told me to!¨ Emily remarked. ¨Mr.Fluffy?¨ ¨Ya my friend you know Mr.Fluffy¨ As I just stared at my sister not knowing what she was talking about then it hit me, it was her imaginary unicorn. After that long awkward moment of silence I helped my sister into some dry clothes. We both walked back down the stairs. ¨Dinner smells good Aunt Clare¨ I said ¨That's good to know because I made you girls favorite¨ Emily and I stared at Aunt Clare until we finally said it at the same time. ¨MEATLOAF!¨My sister and I ran into the kitchen sitting at the table waiting for Aunt Clare to put the food on the table. ¨So Aunt Clara who does schumm start umm?¨I ask with food in my mouth.¨What was that dear i couldn't understand you when your mouth is full¨ ¨Sorry, what i said was do you know when school starts up?¨ ¨Ummm I think it starts next week¨I spit the food out of my mouth across the table. ¨NEXT WEEK!¨ ¨BUT I'M NOT READY FOR SCHOOL YET!¨I yell so loud that the neighbors had to come over and see if I was alright. Aunt Clare sat down at the table once more. "You woke the neighbors" She said clearly upset. ¨Im sorry Auntie I just-¨ ¨No just lets eat we will talk more about this in the morning¨. After dinner I walked up the stairs to my room. I lay there on my bed waiting for anything to happen, nothing. Suddenly I don't hear the rain anymore. I walk towards the window. ¨Why has the rain stopped we usually get rain for weeks"I said to myself. I sat there on the bed thinking. It has been hours. I finally decided that it was getting late and that I should go to bed.
