When I get back to my room, Toga and Kaien is gone. I look at the clock and it states that it is 6:35. I look out the window to see that there are already fangirls at the front of the moon dorm gates. Forget that. I'm not going back there. I fall onto my bed and curl up into a ball. Stupid Zero. Stupid school. Stupid vampires. I hate this place. I hate Zero. Why the hell am I here. Why did Yagari drag me out of the house only to bring me to this God forsaken place. Why did Toga think that reuniting me with Zero would be a good idea? He changed from a nice and warm person that you just want to snuggle with into a big jerk that doesn't care for anyone else but himself. I don't realize that I'm crying until I feel someone's fingers wipe away the tears.

"Why are you crying. Again?" I recognize the voice as Toga's.

"Zero is an asshole." I say as I sniff.

"Why is he an asshole."

"Because, after I left the room, I heard something get smashed. So I went to go and investigate. But then I saw that it was Zero. I don't know what happened in my head but it told me to go and thank Zero for earlier. I listened to it and went in."

After I finish telling My dad my tale of woe, he says, "Wow, he really is an asshole."

I nod. "Why did you bring me here?"

Yagari gives me a weird look. "What?"

"Why did you bring me here? I could've been at home reading or baking. But no, you just had to drag me here with you."

Yagari's eyes look away from mine. "You dont want to know why I had to bring you..."

"Yes I do."

Yagari's face turns into one of frustration. "No you don't!" I feel myself grow small. His gaze softens. "I'm sorry. I didnt mean to raise my voice at you." He sits down next to me on the bed. "It's just," He struggles for words.

"No I get it. There is just somethings that you don't tell me. It's to protect me." I rest my head on his shoulder. "Wait, what are you doing here. Dont you have a class that you need to be teaching?"

I feel Toga shake his head. "Nah. I think those vampires can go one day without their professor. Wouldn't you agree?"

"Yeah, I would."

"But I can ask you the same thing. Shouldn't you go and help with the fangirls?"

"I'd rather jump off a cliff than help assist with that."

I hear Yagari chuckle. "It's just like you to say that..." He kisses the top of my head.

"Why are you being so affectionate?" I ask as I change my position so my chin is resting on his shoulder. "You sometimes to never kiss me on my head or let me snuggle with you. You're not going soft on me are you?"

"I don't know. I guess I'm just starting to do what a father should do to his child." He looks at me with his almost emotionless eyes.

"Let's go into town."

"Why?"

"Dunno. Just to look at stuff. Go out to eat. I'm starving. I haven't eaten since this morning."

"Alright. I'm hungry too. Grab your jacket and let's go."

* * *

"Ugghhhhh..." I groan. "I'm sooo hungry..."

"Well complaining isnt going to make it any better." Toga says from my left side.

"I know. It's just that I can't help but complain."

He sighs. "What do you want to eat? That was the one reason why I agreed to go out tonight."

I ponder for a moment. I look around and see a small ramen cart in an alleyway. "Let's go there." I point at it so that Toga can see what I'm talking about.

"There?" He says in disbelief. "Of all places to go, you want to go there."

"Hey, don't complain! You were the one that said that I can pick where we eat! So I dont want to hear anything from you mister."

"You got me there..." He sighs.

As we walk closer, I get a strange feeling in the pit of my stomach. When I look behind me, I see that the ally is longer than I thought. I grab Yagari's hand. I know that he has the same feeling as me because he squeezes it. When we reach the ramen stand we sit and the cook takes our order. As the chef cooks, I get a strange vibe from him.

"Toga," I whisper to him, our hands still bound together.

"Yeah,"

"Is it just me or does the cook look suspicious."

He nods. "Yeah. Something's not right here. I'm getting a strange vibe from him."

"You took the thought right out of my head..." I whisper back.

I look at the chef and see him pour something into the noodles. Then he turns around with a cheesy smile and says and says, "Bon appetit!"

Me and Toga look at him and force a smile and say thanks. Yagari grabs his chop sticks and dips them into his bowel. I act fast and knock Togas(And mine) bowel off the counter.

"What the hell?!" He shouts at me.

"Just what are you playing at Mr.Chef."

At that moment, the cooks eyes went from baby blue to deep blood red. "You are very clever little girl.." His nails grow into talons and launches himself at Toga.

"Toga!" I pull out (Y/w) and swing it at the Level E vampire.

"I got this! Just go back to the school!" He yells at me as he struggles to keep the vampires face away from his body.

I get angry at his words. "No, I wont leave you! I never will!" I grip (Y/w) so hard, my knuckles turn white. "I told you that if I see someone that's in danger, I would help them. And I will keep that promise until I die!" I rise the sword and run it through the vampire's heart. My breathing is heavy as I fall to my knees.

The vampire turns into sand and Yagari sits up. "Hey-" I cut him off by slapping him across his face. A red spot appears almost instantly. "(Y-yn)... Why did you do that?"

My head is low so my bangs are covering my eyes. "Yagari..." Tears cascade down my cheeks. "Promise me that you will never say that to me again."

"(Y/n)... I-"

"Promise me!"

He places his finger under my chin and gently tilts my head up so I'm looking at him through tearful eyes. "I promise. I swear on my life that I will never say that. Okay?"

All I can do is nod.
