After the events that happened in the healing room, Calandra was informed about what had happened to Thor after they returned from Jotunheim. He had been cast off to Midgard for his actions. Although she knew he would get punished for doing something such as this, she felt that it was too harsh of a punishment. With that in mind, Calandra is found making her way to where she supposes that her father is; in the throne room. She walked in a quick pace down the hallway leading to the throne room. Once inside, she saw her father, Odin, sitting on his throne. "Don't you think that your punishment for Thor was a bit harsh?" she asked, making her presence quite clear as she kept approaching the throne. "It was a necessary punishment for his actions" Odin replied in a voice of authority.
"Yes, but to cast him off into another realm? I do not see how that is necessary" Calandra stated once she stopped directly in front of the throne. Odin rose to his feet, seemingly to stand over her. "It is necessary for he was seeking to start a war between Asgard and Jotunheim over such a small matter that does not require war. He broke the peace between our realms, and for that he was punished with banishment" Odin replied in a much louder voice. Calandra stepped back a bit at this. "I will not push this matter any further, father" she said with the traditional bow and quickly exited the room.
Calandra was not finished with this and decided to go to the next person who could even possibly change her father's mind. Her mother. She followed the long hallways towards her parents' quarters where she assumed her mother would be. She knocked on the door and awaited a reply. Soon enough the door opened and her mother smiled weakly at her most likely knowing part of the reason why she is there. Frigga motioned for her to enter which Calandra obeyed. "Mother, I feel worry and distress over what father has done to Thor" Calandra started as she walked to the center of the room, "I talked to father just moments before I came." She turned around to look at her mother who approached her. "And did he have to say?" her mother asked while folding her hands together.
"He said that it was a necessary punishment..." Calandra looked down slightly, "But I feel that it was too harsh. I did try to convince him of this but of course his decision is unchanged." Frigga smiled sadly and placed a hand on her daughter's shoulder, "I shall talk to him about the matter as well. Perhaps I can convince him to change his mind." Calandra smiled at her mother and she took her hand off of her shoulder. "Now, run along and try to take your mind off of this for a bit. I do not like to see you in this state" Frigga told her and Calandra obeyed with a nod of her head before exiting the room.
Hours later of Calandra reading her book and roaming around the palace a guard approached her with a grim looked. She looked at him questionably awaiting what he has to say. "The All-father has fallen into the Odin's sleep" the guard informed her and Calandra immediately rushed to her parents' quarters once more. Without knocking, she quickly entered the room to see her mother next to the bed which held her sleeping father. Calandra rushed over to the opposite side and kneeled down with a saddened expression. "... When did this happen?" Calandra asked while looking at her unconscious father. "Just recently..." her mother started, "He's been holding this off for so long..." Calandra looked up at her mother, "Where is Loki?" she asked while furrowing her eyebrows. "He has temporarily taken up the throne," Frigga replied and Calandra stood up abruptly. "But he is not next in line" Calandra said while raising her voice slightly. Frigga looked to her daughter with a sad expression, "Loki insisted and there was no changing his mind."
Calandra paced for a moment while holding her head in her hands, "He is not fit for the throne." Frigga shook her head and added, "and apparently neither was Thor." Calandra looked up at her mother and stopped pacing, now holding a serious look. "We both know that I am next in line and I should be the one temporarily in father's place. I must go speak with him and convince him of this" Calandra said and began to make her way out of the room. "You know your brother. He will refuse" her mother called out to her. "I must try, before he becomes the reason for our untimely end" Calandra responded then exited the room and quickly walked towards the throne room for a second time that day.
She entered the throne room soon after. "Loki!" She said as she approached the throne where Loki sat with his leg over the armrest. "You know full well that you are not next in line" she said with a glare. "Oh, but sister, I am more fit for the throne than you" Loki said with a hint of a smirk. Calandra furrowed her eyebrows at her brother, "What has happened to you, Loki? Why are you acting like this?" she motioned towards him. "Oh, because I found out that mother and father have been keeping a very important secret from us" Loki said while still smirking. Calandra's expression become one of pure confusion. She crossed her arms and asked, "And that secret is?" Loki then stood up and slowly approached his sister. She kept her eyes on him until he was leaning in towards her ear. "I am not your brother," Loki whispered then pulled his head back. "Care to elaborate?" Calandra suggested becoming even more confused than before. "Ah, apparently your father, Odin, took me from the frost giants when I was just a baby then him and your mother adopted me", Loki stated for a matter of fact. Calandra shook her head, "Well that makes it even more a reason for you not to be on the throne in place of the All-father."
Loki made the tisk noise at her, "Oh, but here I am," he started as he sat back down on the throne, "on the throne." Calandra shook her head once more. If he stayed there for much longer, all of Hel would break loose. "Where you should not be! You are not fit for the throne, Loki!" she persisted. "It is your majesty. Guards! Lead my poor sister out of the throne room" Loki ordered and Calandra shot a shocked glare at him. Two guards came towards her and began leading her out. "I am not finished with you, Loki!" Calandra shouted as she was lead out. Now she needed to find another way to prevent the fall of Asgard itself because of Loki's ruling and a way to get Thor back from Midgard.
