Beyond friendship

Chapter 3

Rin's P.O.V.
Aaaah! I'm going crazy! Ever since yesterday I've been confusing about my feeling. I like Mikuo but now I suddenly thinking about Len and I.

"Rin? Already awake?" Len came in my room casually like always. "U-uh yeah. Got to find u-uh Mikuo..." Aaaah! Why am I so nervous?! "Um? What's wrong?" Len asked then come closer. He placed his hand on my forehead and compare it with his. "It's not hot. Um...perhaps are you nervous about talking to Mikuo?" He said with a smirk face. "Don't worry, I'll help you. Don't be like a pig and let me do all the work!" Pig?! Who's he calling a pig?! "I'm not going to be a pig!" I said loudly. "You're fine already! Geez, don't make me worry. Let's eat breakfast."

After the breakfast, I search for Miku at school. "Oh! Hi Rin-" Her greeting was interrupted by me. "Miku! Mikuo, does he really really has a girlfriend?!" I asked while staring at her like a maniac.

"U-uh Mikuo? My cousin? As far as I know, no?" Miku answers. "But I saw him with a blonde hair girl yesterday and she even said that he's her boyfriend" I said with confusion.

Miku's P.O.V.
A blonde hair girl? Um...

"Does she has the side ponytail style?" I asked. Rin nodded. "Ah...that's not his girlfriend! It's his stepsister, Neru Akita. She likes Mikuo but he doesn't feel the same..." I said playfully. Why is she asking about Mikuo? And even asking about his girlfriend.

"Stepsister?! She lied?!" Rin looks shock. "Rin...are you perhaps...in love with Mikuo?" I asked. Rin suddenly startled and blush. Really? I hit the right spot.

"Do you want me to ask about what he thinks of you?" I asked quietly. "U-uh...w-well, I-I mean sure..." Rin looks down and laugh nervously. She's so cute.

We parted and I go to find Mikuo. I sigh. I haven't been talking with him for 1 year now, I wonder if we can still talk comfortably to each other. And finally I found him. He was talking to his 'dudes'.

"Mikuo?" I came into the conversation. "Ooooh! Hatsune Miku" the boys looking at me as if I am an angel. "May I talk to you for a moment?" I asked shyly. "Um...sure" he replied. We came near the bathroom and talk. "Do you remember Rin?" I put on a more comfortable face. Mikuo didn't answer for a moment then he speaks up.

"I remember. I met her yesterday too. She was with...uh...Lin? Ren? Oh! Len!" Mikuo answers cheerfully. Len? Does he knows about Rin liking Mikuo? "Well, what do you think of her then?" I asked seriously. It makes me nervous to just hear about what he thinks of Rin. I don't know if I should side with Len or Mikuo. So...what's his answer?

Len's P.O.V.
"So Miku is going to ask Mikuo about his feeling for you? Don't you think it's too early?" I asked. Rin came to me and told me. Her face is red and she kept smiling. "You think so too?" She suddenly frown. She looks down and her hair cover her face from my point of view, the side of her face. "He doesn't even know me much anyway. He probably just say she's nice" Rin left out a sigh.

"Well, at least you know that Neru is not his girlfriend so you still have a chance..." I said trying to cheer her up. She quickly lift her face up and smile. Then suddenly my heart beats fast. What's this feeling?

I stand up. "W-well, I got to go. Bye!" I left her trying to avoid making awkward moment. She's probably thinking 'what's with him?' Aaaaah! What did I do?!

After 4 hours, during music class...
Mrs.Megurine was teaching us but then a boy came in class out of the sudden. He looks pale and he's breathing fast.

"Mrs.Megurine! A girl fell down stairs!" Everyone in room gasped. Mrs. Megurine told us to be quiet and behave while she take care of the girl who feel down stairs. I wonder who that it. Then Yuuma sneaks out to see who is the girl. When he came back and told us the name, i quickly stand up and came out of the room.

"It's Rin Kagamine. She fainted."-Yuuma

"Rin!" I shouted. "Len?! What are you doing here? Come back to class." Mrs.Megurine angrily said and pointed her finger to the classroom. "No! Rin is my  best friend. Please let me be" I said. Mrs.Megurine sigh. Right then, the nurses came back bring Rin to the nurse office. They laid her down and take care of the wounds.

Did she fell by accident or was is because of someone? Then a girl came to my mind.

"Who are you guys?"
"I'm Rin. I was saved yesterday by Mikuo-I mean Hatsune-kun so I was just thanking him"
"I'm Len. Rin's childhood friend"
"Let's go boyfriend. Mik-chan and I have some business so excuse us"

It couldn't be her, could it?

Miku's P.O.V.
So that's how Mikuo thinks of Rin...
