MAY 15TH, 2011
(Yes, I skipped the weekend, but nothing happened then.. It was just a normal weekend staying at home and texting. I also cleaned some, but that's besides the point. So this is taking place on a Monday.)
Since he was going to Jameson next year and the end of 7th grade at Rainman was coming to a close, I decided to try and be FRIENDS with Adam again. JUST friends. I looked for him in every hallway, but couldn't find him. Then, I found a note in my locker after lunch.
Em,
I'm sorry about coming onto you the other day, and I know you've been looking for me.
"Well that's creepy," I thought to myself and continued reading the note.
I think you know where to meet me after school, and you can bring a friend, too. I want us to stay the same as we always have, friends. Well, I'll see you at four! Have a great day babeee!
Love, Adam
I laughed to myself, stuck the note back in my locker, grabbed a different binder, and headed off to my next class.
AFTER SCHOOL
I walked out the doors of the school and spied Halie. I asked her if she wanted to walk with me to the gazebo to hang out with Adam since she was friends with him, too, and she agreed! Both of us skipped halfway, but then we started cramping.
"Ah," Halie complained. "My side! It buuurns!"
"Oh my gosh," I agreed. "Mine too!"
"Let's stick with walking!" Halie suggested.
"Good idea!"
"So," Halie asked. "What's the deal with you and Sanders? I thought you liked Vladimire or whatever."
"I don't know.." It was the truth. I really didn't know what the deal was. Yes, he was my boyfriend, but I still had feelings for Vladimire.. I was beginning to think that I was making too big of a deal about the fact that he didn't tell me about Nicki and Adam. I mean, they broke up anyways and he didn't have anything to do with it, he just knew about it and didn't tell me. I already told him I was done with him, but I was having some regrets. I wanted him back, butI didn't want to hurt Sanders feelings or get back into all the drama he caused.
"Halie," I said.
"Yes?"
"If Vlad kept something about my friends from me, but didn't have anything to do with it, would I be making a huge deal about it if I ended our relationship because of it?" I asked. I needed someone else's opinion on the subject.
"Well," She started. "Since he didn't have anything to do with it, I would honestly say yes. I know that's probably not the answer you wanted, but if you liked Vladimire, then it wouldn't matter if he kept something from you that was about your friends. He probably thought he was doing everyone a favor, and you could've talked to him about how annoyed you were with your friends when you found out what it was they were keeping from you." She said with a laugh.
"I think you're right.. To answer your question about Sanders, he's my boyfriend, and it's only been a day, but I think I want to break up with him.. I still have feelings for Vladimire.. I really don't want to hurt Sanders, though. He's such a nice guy."
"I know, Em. It's gonna be hard, but you can't lead him on. It wouldn't be right. Anyways, I can see the gazebo! I'll race you there!"
I sprinted ahead of her, but could still see she was right behind me. I pushed harder, but she was just too fast for me! Halie made it to the gazebo a couple seconds before I came jogging behind her. I spotted Adam waiting inside after I caught my breath. He was standing with no other than Nicki herself.
