18: Shady

It's been 3 months since Sean asked me to his girlfriend. They have been the most amazing 3 months. We went on dates about every weekend. It's the first day of our Christmas break and Sean went out of town yesterday, but he said he'll be back before Christmas and my birthday.

I was currently lounging around my house until Sean called me. My cousin Savannah was coming for her Christmas break tomorrow. Her and Mark have been talking and they plan to hangout while she's here. Lou was going to come spend the weekend with me until she found out that Savannah was coming. Lou and Tyler started dating about two months ago it was nice to see her happy again.

My phone was ringing I checked to see who it was calling before answering.

Eve: Hello?

Sean: Hey babe

Eve: Hey bb, how are you?

Sean: Good just tired, wbu?

Eve: I'm great I just wish you were here

Sean: I know it's not going to be th- Aye Sean I'm about to go to the store need anything?

I heard an unfamiliar male voice say.

Eve: Who is that?

It was quiet until he finally responded.

Sean: A family friend

Eve: Oh okay, how is your grandma?

Sean: She's doing great she's happy that I'm here

Eve: That's good so what day are yo-

I was interrupted.

Sean: Hey I need your card I can't find my wallet.

I heard the unfamiliar voice again.

Sean: Hey Evelyn I gotta go, okay?

*Line disconnects*

I'm sitting here thinking, what just happened?

I took a shower deciding to dress up. I dressed in warm Christmas sweater with my black Jeans and my black boots. I grabbed my scarf before heading out.

I decided to go out to the mall for a couple hours to look for something for my mom, Sean, Mark, Savannah, and Lou.

I looked around getting gifts. What do you give guys? A snapback? A watch? I decided to get Sean a watch and necklace and some burgundy vans. I looked at the time seeing it was now 5 my mom should be home by now.

I made my way home wondering what Sean was doing. I guess I'll call him when I get home. When I got home I took a shower and ate dinner with my mom.

"Are you going to pick up Savannah from the airport?" My mom asked chewing her food.

"Yeah, what time does her plane land again?" I asked checking my phone for any signs of Sean.

"10:30 I think but just text her just in case." She said putting her bowl in the sink.

I texted Savannah asking what time her plane lands.

Savannah: 10:30 a.m.

Eve: Okay I'll see you tomorrow then

Savannah: Okay

I washed the dishes and went to my room calling Sean.

*Ringing* You have reached the voicemail box of Sean McKillen please leave a message at the tone *beep*

Eve: Hey babe call me back when you get this. I miss you.

After the message I hung up and decided to watch Netflix.

I waited and waited for Sean to call me back but he didn't. I looked at the time 1:25 a.m. I guess I can go to sleep since I have to wake up early to pick up Savannah from the airport.

The next morning I woke up early and took a shower. It was snowing so I put on a thick sweater and some warm sweats with my UGG boots and put my hair into a messy bun.

I was driving while Christmas music played lightly in the background. I arrived at the airport waiting for Savannah to come through the terminal. I finally saw her walk through. I waved her over hoping she'd see me.

We loaded her things into the car before heading back to my house.

"So, how was your flight?" I asked looking forward at the road.

"It was okay getting up early is what killed me." She said checking her phone.

"Are you seeing Mark today?" I asked taking the exit needed.

"No I'm going to see him tomorrow sometime." She said texting him.

We made it my house and got Savannah settled in the guest bedroom.

WE chilled until my mom came home and went out to get pizza and coming back to watch a movie.

Everyone was in their own rooms. Savannah was still up because I saw the light on under the door, but my mom was asleep.

I texted Sean waiting for a text back. My phone dinged signaling I had a text.

Sean: Sorry I'm busy got to talk to you tomorrow.

Busy at this time of night? 10:00? There's something going on , but I'm going to give him the benefit of doubt.

I put my phone on the charger and got changed into pajamas. It took me hours to fall asleep but I finally did.

Sean is being a little shady... I wonder what he's hiding. You guys will find out in the next chapter.
