Chapter 18

            Another two month went by. Nightmares continued sweet dreams turning into a horrid nightmare. It’s already January one of the coldest months in the year. I can't even go near Joseph because his skin will kill me instantly will the air cold and him it'll stop my blood. It's hard on me, but mostly him been alone for over a 100 years with no love and when you find it you can't even enjoy it. That’s without killing a person. I grew more to Joseph not telling him about my dreams I keep it to myself.

            "Baby I'm gonna be gone for a couple of weeks" said Aunt Cara

 "where are you going?" I ask

 "I have a business trip to go on it's about that condo idea for Florida" she said.

 "In the mean time I expect you to be on your best behavior. Take care of the house...there's food and emergency money" she said "I strictly say emergency!" she said

 I giggled.

 "Well your happy" she said

 "umm yeah I guess" "what for?" she said

"nothing special" I said. Once again she knows nothing of Joseph just like Connor.

            She kiss me goodbye and told me to behave no boys no parties. As if I ever allow parties in my home. Joseph I can't stop for coming I always want him to come. I feel like I’m in another world when he's around. Joseph didn’t come all that day or night he says if he doesn’t come and see me either he's hunting for food or looking for killers. I worry either way because when he hunts he could be hunted. That night was the same dream I don't dare tell Connor of Joseph.

            Only this didn’t take place in the forbidden mountains it took place in the national forest. I look around for Connor "Connor, Connor" I yelled my voice echoed.

 He came out of the trees still looking wounded I wasn’t frightened as much anymore. He approached me and held my face. "My Jessica" he kiss me softly it still electrocuted me.

 "I'm coming back" he said knowing me I expected he's dead I smiled and said

 "I'll be waiting" I woke up sweating.

Joseph was sitting on my bed it was day light and the sun light was showing.

            "Joseph go in the shadows" I said

 "I don't burn nor sparkle it can't harm me" he smiled showing his pointy teeth.

 I smiled; he climbed into the bed and held me his skin smelled like the pine trees. "What did you eat?" I ask

 "Everything that was filled with blood...expect humans" he said I giggled.

 He chuckled he didn't laugh as much he says it’s frightening but I find ways to make him laugh. "You’re looking better today" he said referring all the past nights I had of no sleep.

 I smiled and kiss his hand the sun light almost made him invisible.

            I closed the curtains and it became dark. "Why did you close them?" he ask softly.

"Because I don't like the light like I use to" I said.

 He got up and held my face in his hands he didn’t drive my hormones crazy like Connor use too. But he did something that made me crave him

"Today is my birthday...you know that right?" he said.

 "Yes...how can I forget" I whispered "January 11th" I said he smiled again.

 He came up to my ear and whispered "I've never been this happy before with anyone you’re my only love" I smiled and try not to collapse on my knees. "

Your voice is like liquid" I said breathlessly.

            He chuckled "exactly where I want you at" he pick me up and held me my forehead was connected with his.

 He kiss me so rapidly my head spiraled out of control "Oh Joseph" I said I took off his shirt and he took mine off I had Goosebumps all over my body he's body was so cold. My love deepened and deepen for him "my heart is pounding" I whispered he put his hand on my heart

 "A human's heart beat I haven’t felt one is such a long time" his tender voice said.

 I smiled and felt his heart "I have no heart Jessica" he whispered.

 "You can have mine" I whispered

 "Your heart is too pure to be in my chest" he said.

            "It's yours forever" I said he smiled and laid me on the bed we both look at each other he look so hot with his shirt off showing his four pack.

 I cuddled up to him under his arms and enjoyed the moment.

 "You know...the country fair is in town...I never went to it I was too scared too wanna go?" he ask. "Sure...ummm when is it?" I ask

 "February 14th New York City Madison Square Garden" Joseph said.

 "Mmmm Valentine’s Day" I said.

 "Day of love" he giggled

 "I love when you laugh makes me know your happy" I said. "What do you want for your birthday?" I ask.

            "There isn't much you can give me" he said

 "It can be anything" I said he paused for a moment he looked at my neck where my veins were.

 His eyes widen I slowly pulled him towards my neck I felt the tension growing on me. Instead of him biting he kissed me on the neck. He look at me with an upsetting look

"I will not take away your life for me just have a taste" Joseph said. I kiss him again and whispered

 "just do it" he took my arm with one fang made a cut and took small sips. For some reason it felt good.
