Sally's P.O.V.

I grabbed the car keys as I rushed out of the door.

I was being interviewed for a new job, at some candy place down the block.

I unlocked the car door and jumped in. Then I sat back for a minute to catch my breath.

I'm 7 months pregnant, so I'm getting tired easier.

Then I jam the keys in the slot and drive into busy Manhattan traffic. The interview went well, I think.

I hop in the car and drive home to watch reruns of Oprah.

A few days later, the candy company I interviewed for, Sweet on America, called me back and told me I had the job. It was a relief.

I was pregnant with a baby boy, and I needed a job so I could support my soon-to-be family.

After my husband left, things were really tough. But I know he is still watching over me. I can feel it.

So the next day, I head to my first day of work at Sweet on America.

I walk into the small shop and put my purse in a corner. Then a walk to the cashier and tell her my name and that I was the new trainee. She calls someone, who I think is my boss.

Shortly after, the woman who I suspect she called walks towards us. She is wearing a blue business suit and a small button with an American flag on it.

She welcomes me to Sweet on America, and hands me a red, white, and blue uniform to change into. I duck into the bathroom and change quickly.

As I head out, I drop the clothes I just changed out of next to my purse.

"Hello and welcome to the wonderful world of Sweet on America, offering the sweetest treats since 1989," the woman in the blue suit says to me.

I try to hide a smirk. That was so rehearsed.

"Hello. I'm Sally Jackson, which I suppose you already know."

"Why, hello Sally. So I take it that this is your first day at our shop?"

"Yes ma'am."

"Ok, so I'll show you around and get you started," the woman says, slowly walking away from the bathroom.

"Oh, and by the way, my name Monique."

So about an hour and a half later, I know everything about candy, sales, and business. Monique sets me up at the cashier table, and shows me how to work the machine. Then they open the doors and customers flood in.

People of all ages come on, from small children, to elderly couples search to find that special treat, then bring it up to me. It's a pretty easy job, once you get the hang of it.

After hours of selling candy, it's closing time. I grab my things, then drive home.

I am now 9 months pregnant and ready to get this kid out. I have finally settled on a name. I was stuck between two, but I picked the name Perseus.

I don't really know why I picked that one, after all, Perseus was the son of Zeus, not Poseidon, but I felt a pull to it. Like some day it would be known all over the world.

Sorry that's it's so short. I will make them longer. And sorry that's it's so weird sounding. I promise it will get better.
