Chapter 1: New Job

"Wow! I can't believe it. Thank you so much. I won't let you down" I squealed wanting to jump up and down but trying to maintain my professional appearance.

"You should feel very lucky Estela, we don't normally hire people as young as you to be doing a job like this although we have made this one exception. You start tomorrow, it may seem a bit overwhelming at first but you'll soon get the hang of things. Make sure you stay on top of all the schedules. He is a very busy man and won't have time for your mistakes. We'll send you an email confirming everything" Mr Ramirez replied.

"Ok, Thank you again Sir, this really means a lot" I replied. I left the tall grand building and made my way to my car. I was extremely happy, I never thought I was going to get the job.

Once I was home I decided to organise my things for tomorrow although I didn't quite know what to bring. I held my bag open but was unsure on what I needed, maybe a notebook? A pen?

After taking forever to decide on what to bring I thought it would be a good idea to research about the person I was going to be an assistant manager to. They hadn't told me who I was working for until the very end, everything was very secretive. I only applied knowing I was going to work as an assistant manager for someone, until I had spoken to the head manager Duda at the end of the interview, he was very kind and helped me out a lot. He had given me a little facts file, telling me the key information I needed to know, although I was eager to know more.

I typed in 'Neymar Jr' on google and scrolled down. "Damn" I said to myself as my eyes widened. I knew he was good looking, but not this good looking. I had only seen him from the World Cup and he wasn't as famous then.

I was interested in football even though I wasn't too aware of Neymar himself, I knew a lot about other footballers, the main one being Ronaldo, partly because I also came from Portugal.
The information was really helpful. I couldn't rely on it all however, a lot would have been rumours made up by the press.

Once I had all the knowledge I needed, a rush of excitement fuelled my body although I was nervous at the same time.

Just as I was about to lay down I heard my phone vibrate, I picked it up and swipes right. I saw I had an email, I clicked on it and read through the text. It was a confirmation about the job, everything I needed to know, including payment, hours and tasks. A taxi was going to pick me up at 9:00am tomorrow morning and bring me to Neymar's house where I will be introduced to everyone.

I smiled feeling like the past year was really worth it. I had never intended to leave Portugal but when things got tough the best thing to do was to start fresh. I was worried about my stability but now having found this job I was more than happy and really felt like I had made the right choice. I was ready to explore, go on adventures and really open my eyes to what the world had to offer for me.

After eating dinner and having a little clean of my small and cosy but also modern apartment, I plunged down on the sofa and watched some TV until I decided to get some sleep.

My alarm clock woke me up at 7:30. I stretched my body in bed ready for the long day. I got up, had a shower and brushed my teeth. After making myself some breakfast I went into my closet to pick out a suitable outfit to wear. After what felt like years of deciding I finally picked out some black skinny jeans with a black top and stilettos.
I kept my makeup natural looking and let the curls of my hair fall effortlessly over my shoulders.
Once I was done I sprayed on some perfume and grabbed my bag checking I had everything I needed.

I heard the horn of the taxi which was signalling me to come down. I walked outside and saw a BMW parked right in front of me, it had blacked out windows and black rims.

"Classy" I thought to myself.

"Hi" I said shyly as the driver opened the car door for me.

"Hello madam, how are you" the driver said sounding ever so posh and sharp.

"Fine thank you" I replied with a smile.

After passing the busy streets of the city, we came into a road which was filled with beautiful grand houses, it seemed to be some kind of estate, not many cars drove past, it was all so quiet and peaceful, there was not much people either.

We arrived at a very modern looking house, it looked huge from the outside, I couldn't imagine just how big it was inside. My nerves started kicking in, I was a little afraid about what they might all think of me.

I got out of the car and thanked the guy for dropping me off. I walked up to a brown wide door and rang the bell, waiting impatiently for it to open.

"Hello, you must be Estela" a woman said, I had remembered her from the facts file.

"Yes that's me. Nadine right?" I said hoping it was her.

"That's right" she smiled sweetly.

"Please come in" she said welcoming me into their house.

I walked in carefully, my eyes wandered around the place, it looked very modern and had a nice feel.

"This way" Nadine said gesturing me to follow her into what seemed like the living room.

I walked in and saw three boys playing Xbox on the couch, all looking ever so serious.

"Boys" Nadine yelled. They all jumped and looked up.

"Neymar, this is Estela, your assistant manger." Nadine said introducing me to him.

"Damn" one of the boys mumbled making me feel quite uncomfortable to say the least.

"Hi" Neymar said bluntly.

"Hey" I replied.

"Well my names Gil" the boy said standing up, he took my hand and kissed the back of it.

"Gil" Nadine said giving him 'the look'.

He let out a laugh and plunged back down onto the sofa.

"This is Jo" Gil said pointing to him.

"Nice to meet you" I said reaching for his hand and shaking it.

"Neymar why don't you give her a tour of the house?" Nadine suggested, Neymar rose his eyebrow then looked at me.
