You and Ben were in the car driving for about an hour. "Ben." You said turning the volume on the radio down.
"Yeah babe?" He glanced over to you before putting his eyes back on the road.
"Do you wanna get off at the next exit for food?"
"Are you hungry?"
"A little, but if you wanna keep driving-"
"No, you're hungry, you need food, I'll get off this next exit and we can stop at the nearest food place." You didn't say anything, only connecting the aux cord so you can play Genie In a Bottle by Christina Aguilera. You loved this genre/era of music cause it reminded you of when you were younger.
"If you wanna be with me, baby there's a price to pay!" Ben screamed along to the chorus. He looked over at you and turned the volume a bit lower.
"Does the fact that I'm a better singer than (Y/F/S/N), make you love me even more?" He asked.
"No, but you did ruin the entire song for me." You laughed, he pretended to be offended and continued singing and you decided to scream along with him.
Eventually, you guys made it to a McDonalds. Their was a giant forest across the street so you told Ben you wanted to go there. You walked inside and saw a play pen. The first thing you did was look up at Ben who intertwined your fingers.
"You're joking right?" Ben said looking down at you and clearly reading your mind.
"Come on Ben, when was the last time you played in one of those things?"
"After we eat." I rolled my eyes.
"You sound like my mom, but I guess I love you." You said as you walked over to the cash register.
"Hi." Smiled the female cashier, you couldn't help but feel a little bit jealous about the way she looked at Ben and how pretty she was. But, you knew Ben loved you for you, and frankly, you didn't seem to think you were that ugly.
"Hey, so, can I have a number 6 with a soft drink," then he wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me closer, "What do you want?"
"Erm... I guess what I usually get." You whispered to embarrassed to say it yourself.
"Okay." He laughed and you buried your head in his chest. "And a 10 piece chicken nugget meal with fries and a small strawberry banana smoothie." When you looked back up the cashier glared at you. She didn't even know Ben! How could she already like him!
"That'll be 10.50" you pulled out your wallet ready to pay and Ben did the same.
"No."
"Ben. It's McDonalds, not some over priced fancy restaurant that gives servings the size of my pinkie." Ben just chuckled with his chest moving up and down, not that you were checking him out or anything, okay, so what if you were, you're dating, you should be aloud to. You thought to yourself.
"But, I'm going to."
"As long as I end up with 10.50 or more in this cash register, I really don't care who pays." The cashier said, you really were not loving her at the moment. While you were stuck in your thoughts Ben payed. Of course.
