Psychological Experiment
A/N: So this will be a new thing, an experiment of mine if you may. I want to start writing shorter books so that more ideas can go out and be published and finished. I hope you guys enjoy though!!
Chapter 1: Psycho Buddies
"Doctor Hill?" A beefy looking Asian guy knocked on the door of the medium sized clinic-office as a guy in his 40s looked up from reading a book
"Ah, Evan, glad you could make it" Dr Hill smiled as Evan went inside the office and closed the door behind him
"Take a seat and make yourself comfortable" Dr Hill said as Evan sat down on the couch near Dr Hill's desk
"So, Evan, tell me, what made you think that you should go see a psychologist?" Dr Hill asked as he took out a pen and a pad of paper
"Well, my coach said that if I don't see one then I can't play this season" Evan said
"I'm guessing you play hockey then. Why did he make you see a psychologist?" Dr Hill asked as he started writing down the information he found out about Evan
"Uhm, he said that I have social anxiety" Evan shyly said
"Do you think you have social anxiety?" Dr Hill asked
"Maybe? I don't know. I know that recently, the idea of fucking up during a game scares me" Evan sighed
"Why does it scare you? Are you afraid of being embarrassed or disappointing your team?"
"Yeah... something like that" Evan mumbled as Dr Hill nodded
"Does this social anxiety of yours cause any panic attacks or maybe inability to play properly during a game or even just play at all?" Dr Hill asked
"I've only had two panic attacks so far and after the second one, I could barely get on the ice without feeling nervous" Evan admitted
"Evan, I want you to know that having social anxiety, or any social disorder is alright. It's common and it's nothing to be ashamed of" Dr Hill reassured with a smile as Evan lightly nodded his head
"Does this social anxiety of yours cause depression or anything like that?" Dr Hill asked once more as he kept writing on his pad
"Oh no, not at all. I like hanging out with my team and my friends, they've always been supportive so I've never found a reason to be depressed" Evan smiled
"Good, good, that's a very good way of thinking" Dr Hill nodded his head
"Can you tell me why you're afraid of embarrassing yourself in public?" Dr Hill asked as Evan seemed to think about it
"Well I guess no one really likes getting embarrassed, for me the case is just worse, I don't really know why..." Evan mumbled the last part
"Then do you think that you'll be uncomfortable to exposing yourself to situations that could potentially cause a whole lot of embarrassment to you?" Dr Hill asked
"Definitely" Evan nervously chuckled
"I think I may just have the—" Dr Hill started but was cut off by shouting from the outside of his office
"Sir! Please! You cannot go in there! Dr Hill is having a session!" they could hear Dr Hill's assistant yell from the other side, and seconds later the door to the office burst open
"I'm sorry to disturb, doctor" a guy with brown hair and a brown and shades on his eyes said as he opened the door, dragging with him another guy
"Ah, Luke, what seems to be the problem?" Dr Hill asked as Evan sat there in shock
